Well make sure you are tested before you leave, make sure you are tested before you leave Maldives to come back to USA. Speak to the resort you are staying at, they will arrange the test for you before you have to head back to USA. I traveled from NY to Dubai and then Maldives and same from Maldives to Dubai to NY. Emirates the airline we used had a requirement, Dubai airport had a requirement and then USA had requirements when we were coming back. Please make sure you are following the guidelines for all of these different authorities.
We are going to maldives on 28th april from india and now a days india is recording highest number of covid cases, we are not able to decide what to do whether to go or not ,what if we became positive in flight then would have to quarantine in maldives,please suggest
Maldive is very safe compare to India now days. I think you should not cancel the trip, obviously get tested for covid because that is the requirement before you get to the Maldives. And remember everyone in the plane was also tested and is negative before they board the plane. If they got tested 2 days before they board the plane and let's say they are infected with the virus one day before boarding the plane, while they are in the plane, they are not infectious yet. It takes couple of days before someone can spread the virus after getting the infection. Also, planes are much safer than people thought before, specially if you wear N95, K95 mask the whole time. If you want to be extra safe, do not take your mask off in the airport in India, in the airplane, while in Maldives airport and while in the sea plane/speed boat. More and more experts have said that you might get the infection in the airport than the airplane, so be careful while in the airport. I think you will be fine. thousands of people are going to Maldives and they are fine. I was in two different resorts and both didn't have any positive case for months.

Maldives is probably safer now days compare to India. is it possible for your to get vaccine before you go there?
