Apparently it was written in because lea Michelle either was pregnant or thought she was, with Corey’s baby. Supposedly, them loosing the baby or finding out she wasn’t pregnant was a contributing factor in Cory relapsing

Yeah I read a lot of comments about them doing Marley dirty, but like what about Mercedes. Literally had the most powerful voice on the show, yet the majority of the songs went to Lea.

When she did Im not going/your gonna love me i think it was season 1 (i kinda just rember Finn and Rachel together but it def wasnt season 3) Her dream girls preformance has to be my favorite mercedes singing moment. And the fact that she was actually singing live and not with a backing track like they usually did , it just makes that song all the more beautiful.

i feel like all the new cast had to be better at dancing than the previous cast (like they specifically casted good dancers, instead of just good singers) and it rlly shows in that choreo.

I'm not sure Marley is an alto actually. She has a husky sort of voice for sure, but that's her timbre not pitch (look up tessitura). I'd peg her as a mezzo if not outright soprano

okay Valerie was one of the best performances because not only was Naya on vocals but Heather and Harry's choreography (and their friendship) was always top tier

rachel and marley both have wonderful voices but i much prefer marley’s tone. it’s clearer and a bit jazzier naturally i think vs rachel is a tad bit nasally STILL AMAZING just not my fav

7:31 Although seasons 1-3 Glee club brought so much talent (from mostly Rachel and Mercedes), the seasons 4-5 Glee Club seem like they actually had much more fun doing group performances which made me like watching theirs more
Yes! That's why I love the season 4 glee club, they really seemed like actual friends
I also noticed that on my recent rewatch. The group performances were more carefree, less "choir", more like a group of friends jamming

Adam Lambert has a crazy voice. It’s all mix and he was born with it so it’s naturally really strong and pretty rare. When he was in musicals the high tenor parts were easy for him so he optioned up a lot.
have you noticed that Marley had few joys in this series? she was betrayed by her boyfriend, guilty of passing out at the performance and her story ends with her being expelled from school.
I like to think she joined the choir of another school and became best friends with Unique.

Glee season 1-3: a plot with something to tell, good performances
Glee season 4-6: great performances, inconsistent plot forced to insert certain songs
So did 1 to 3, but it was not as often as later season
I LOVE the inclusion of the newbies from 4 and 6. They rarely get recognition for how talented they are.

I honestly think all the characters that showed up at the end of the show (season 4 students and Elliot) are way better characters than the earlier originals. Just cause they feel way more like actual people instead of just archetypes. I mean I love kurt but he’s really just the stereotype of a gay man and that’s sort of how all the original characters are
But isn’t that kinda the point?? Glee is a musical satire, so it makes sense for the characters to be stereotypical and dramatic. The big personalities of the og characters is what makes the show. The newer characters were fine, but in a show like glee just because it’s more realistic it doesn’t make it better for the show. Since glee itself in its concept is quite unrealistic, the characters should also feel that way. The newer characters were also pretty stereotypical too( the bad boy womanizer, the shy girl with lots of talent, the mean blonde cheerleader etc) they definitely evolved into more but so did the og’s.
Kurt is in many ways more than a stereotype...
Honestly, the cast from season 4&5 are so underrated...idk why a lot of ppl hate them ... A lot of them either have insane vocal or crazily good at dancing...or both!
