Lifeguard is the best song I've heard from Morrissey... He seems to over-produce his music to the detriment of his entire catalog. You can feel how better he is if he keeps it simple and stark, as on some of these out-takes.
This is great..cant understand why he took 'Ordinary Boys' off the Viva Hate re issue and replaced it with the substandard 'Treat like a human being' ...even Stephen Street was bemused by this! .
And of cause.. the 'SOUND' Liverpool accent refferance directly towards the end. Perfect. Viva Morrissey. How can anyone not simply adour him. Best Lyricist England ever made..❤👈
Viva Hate is one of the best solo records from an artist in modern history......and Stephen Street is one of the best producers as live today....doesnt get half the credit he deserves.....and the outtakes are simply......well they shouldn't be called outtakes.....they're just sweet sweet extras.....
@@colonialstraits1069 oh definitely. I should have included him. The thing is, I know so little about Reilly. I know I should, but I don't. I guess one more thing on my "to do " list 😜
And in certain earlier interviews, Moz sounding almost Scouse in interviews. Hilarious stuff. The power of Language. Especially English locally. Fastenating. Margi Clarke corruption l guess.
I have a question: "Safe, Warm Lancashire Home", "Lifeguard on duty", "Sister I am a poet", "Will never marry", "Happy Lovers at last united", "Please Help the cause against loneliness" (jangly demo, no back vocals), "Hairdresser on Fire", "Dissapointed", "Oh well i'll never learn", "Treat Me Like A Human Being" All of these songs is from Viva Hate Era? (Morrissey, Street and Vini R.) A Viva Hate Expanded Edition from imaginary future xD.
I was a huge Morrissey/Smiths fan pre-youtube. Just listening to some of these for the first time is like Christmas coming early! Are there any other recently released or obscure Morrissey songs I should know about?
Thank you. What beautiful introductory music for Queen Jacqui... Hairdresser on fire came on and; put a big 'ol smile on my face, because, right now, I need a serious trim... So fire me up hairdresser!!!
Great songs but wow... the quality is horrible. It sounds like it was recorded from a lo-fi stream on the Internet in the early 2000s. Far too much compression. It would be amazing to hear the uncompressed versions.
Luckily, I'll take this audio file and I'll try to do my best to bring again that original Master sound using T-RACKS (IK MULTIMEDIA). Hope to upload it in my channel as a final take. Thanks for this upload. I still can't believe I'm listening from YT. As soon as I download it, I'll pay attention to the whole file. Thanx !!!!!!!!!

I always felt Viva Hate was put together, arranged, every song goes to the next in perfect order, I truly love this album
Yes, it does....and no filler.....in my opinion.....every song is significant and purposeful.
Oh my goodness, can't believe I've never heard Lifeguard before. Such a present to hear new Morrissey even after 2 years of religiously listening haha
A certain Smiths song (Should have been) :)
Lifeguard is one of my favs. Suuuuch an amazing song. Why Mozza ddnt include it on VH is a mystery.

@Paul W.A Well I hope he likes my new band 'Little man what now'
It's about 2 in the morning, and I genuinely just gave the biggest "Jimmy Carr laugh" at Vini Reilly's Hairdresser on fire vocals 😂😂😂
And of cause.. the 'SOUND' Liverpool accent refferance directly towards the end. Perfect. Viva Morrissey. How can anyone not simply adour him. Best Lyricist England ever made..❤👈

Both Morrissey and Stephen Street owe a massive debt to Vini Reilly (Durutti Column).

Thank goodness for Stephen Street...the savior of Morrissey's career.
too bad Moz is too much of a prick to work with him again. The Street/ Reilly sound was awesome.
@@NEOMASS0 Reilly claimed he co-wrote this album with Morrissey. 'Oh, really?'
James Byron Dean You think Morrissey can write music? Lol.

"I Know Very Well How I Got My Note Wrong" was previously released as a one-sided 7" added to The Durutti Column's 1989 "Vini Reilly" LP.
This made my day, thank you for sharing this.

Mr. Morrissey
wow. these are lovely. Thank you!
Ha ha that version of 'Hairdresser on fire' at 12:45 is funny as hell - sounds like Morrissey was goofing on everyone (if that is even him)
At a guess I think it's a band member goofing Moz (Alan?).
Vini Reilly doing His Moz impersonation :)
I don't think that's Mozz singing, sounds like Robert Smith playing around lol
Yeah, that's Vini Reilly. Haha
Vini Reilley dude. It says it on the photo of the back of the album during please help the cause against lonliness
I'd purchase the physical copy just for the album cover alone.
Much love to morrissey
