BIG PRO OF THE LEATHER > RUBBER: over time as you deadlift and pull heavy loads the rubber will rug-burn the hell out of your hands between your palm and lower portion of your fingers. The rubber is so gripping that under load overtime the rubber will run that area of your hands and it will be painful or uncomfortable. I have both rubber and leather, and the leather becomes softer over time and you can avoid this pain.
@abosaleh1641 really good... I love them. Got my girl the rubberized ones. They definitely have a better grip... But I have zero complaints with the leather. If you're trying to fully cut your forearms out of a back workout, the rubber style is probably going to do better for you. However, I've not once had my grip fatigue with the leather ones, even after a brutal forearm workout. Just have to be slightly more mindful of keeping some pressure on your grip with the leather.
Thanks! Perfect what I need to know before buying my first ones. My girl Ill get leather. But shes not lifting as heavy as me. So Im assuming she will be fine.
I disagree, the leather holds much better than the rubber. The "tackiness" this person speaks of can be a hindrance on some movements such as pullups, heavy rows, etc. I have both and still prefer the leather.
@@Monz117 after trial and error, I think if you care for the leather with a good cleaner and conditioner then it really starts to break in over time but if you’re using a bunch of chalk and never caring for it what your considering a break in period will be more of a destructive thing for the leather ones and they’ll just start feeling like poo over an extended period of time.
I keep hearing the same thing. Apparently Rubber > Leather. Guess I'm going with the rubber. Thanks for the review.

Thanks bro. Just ordered the rubber . Didn’t know they had leather. I thought I made a mistake but now I’m feeling good. Thanks bro
I figured!!! Thanks so muck!! Got it off my head I knew it, great review! Thanks again!
💪😎👌
Thanks for the comparison!
Great video! Rubber it is!!!! Thanks!
6 years later... Did the leather get better with time?
Curious because I just ordered a set of the leather ones.
After a month of using the leather, is it still in good condition?

How is the leather one coming along ? Still prefer the rubber ?
Knowing minds would like to know if your still around.
THANK YOU
Very nice comparison. I was wondering how they feel and work. I would purchase the rubber one. Thank you, buddy.

Did the leather need a "break in" period?
