Des, thank you so much for being such a fighter in EVERY race. I love your attitude after not making the team. You handled this with a lot of class. You are THE reason I will always remember the 2018 Boston Marathon. Best of luck there this year and beyond.
I think the initial leaders in the women and men's races paid a price by not sticking in the back a bit/slightly and drafting, second half was the time time to move toward the front with so much wind. She worked so hard by always being in the very front... so close
Seriously ridiculous how long it took for someone to realize how freaken cold she was during this interview!!!? Maybe next time let her sit down with a hot drink and a coat before you bombard her with endless questions.
I still watch the ending to this race over and over, rooting for Des to pass Sally (no disrespect to Sally), but I get disappointed every time. Anyone else feel that way? Regardless, she was about 20 seconds behind third place at Mile 25, and in fifth place behind Laura Thweatt, and she worked hard to make that finish interesting and finish in 4th, and she had the flu going into this race. That was some tough running.
@That One Perhaps... though she's still in great shape- and plenty more marathons between then and now... and I certainly wouldn't put it past her trying for 2024...
Damn. I think she's beautiful. Lol If I could, I'd definitely go out with her. She's super sweet and athletic. I would definitely enjoy her company. Lol, but that's just me.
Boston win was a fluke. Two dime a dozen runners won that year. Where is the Asian male winner now? Neither has done anything since. Only American media hypes her up.
Yes US runners. I agree. Compared to the world she’s a dime a dozen like most US runners. Sad but true. Funny you didn’t disagree about the Boston fluke.
I think her win in Boston was very impressive. The conditions were so hard, and the way she just pushed trough really showed what a great runner she is 👍
This is the definition of grace. She is my hero. ❤
Des Linden truly was a very graceful fourth place finisher, I wish her the best.

Des, you are amazing! Nothing can change that
Des AKA “The People’s Champ”!
Yep, agreed! 🇺🇸
Agree 100%. She has heart and class.
Des is amazing. Favorite runner ever!
I have nothing but admiration for all of them.
Mad respect for Des. She is a warrior.
Dew is just the best. Gotta love her. Honest, strong, tough - just the best
Des is a classy Champion. Tons of respect for her effort and post race patience. Slay Boston. 👍
great race Des! every one of you OTQ runners are super heroes!
Can't wait to see you recover smart and go for Boston. You are awesome.

We all love you Desi! You are such a strong representative of the women’s marathon. Also, gracious and classy! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
She is still a alternate if sombody gets hurt
No
Background noise is way too loud.
lexington476 They can’t afford expensive noise canceling microphones
Subtitles?
Bigger fan than ever
Thank god someone gave her a jacket to wear!!! Poor little thing was shivering during that interview!! Love you Desi!!! Great run 🏃🏻♀️!!
Aw, I was really rooting for her 😔
The sound is terrible, maybe try holding the microphone closer to her mouth next time. I can't hear what she is saying with all the noise.
Des showed some true grit in that race. She ran a tough race on a tough course, and obviously any of those women could've qualified.
Break that 50km record Des!!
She is my hero.

Poor girls so sad.... doing well to hold it together.... I suspect the hurt will soon turn to fire, to move forward.... :)

She is not the most beautiful lady, but she may be the nicest.

Des has been one of the best US marathon runners for the past decade what are you talking about
Hey Mark 🖕
