Wow! Great job. When we evacuated to Indian Shores , I gave my neighbor 5 gallon bags of stone crab claws in case we lost power in Tampa which we did. He had a party & ate them. Glad to see the blues so thick at your spot. Enjoy.

Caught two pomp and some mackerel there today but they were small. Dolphin were bad, may got to Skyway North Pier next week.

It's been closed for months now it's going to reopen next summer

Do crab snares work on Florida Blue Crab? Which method work best for you? We use crab snares a lot for stone crab up north. Now, I live in South Florida and would love to take the kids to go crabbing, but we don't have any flat area to catch them with a net like this. TIA!
Any seawall work bring some chicken leg tie them on the string and just reel them in.

Crab snares are not legal for blue crabs in Florida.
Where did you get long shank hook for mackerel at and the size of the hook?

doesnt anyone in florida use box traps for blue crab? im from nj, back home we just setup on a bridge with however many box traps baited with whatever really, and pulled blue crab all day long. ive yet to see anyone using a box trap since ive moved here 10 years ago
Much easier this way you have to wait all day for something to go in the box 😄
I use a box trap but haven’t had any luck! There are no crabs in here in Tampa, at least not for me.
@@fortheloveofmoney1752 What do you use as bait. The grass is an issue in the bay. I use chicken or turkey. Oily causing a slick & rubbery making it harder to pick apart. Good luck
