Someday, maybe we'll get more family relationship labels so in-laws and great-grandparents won't look like strangers. 😅 (Without a mod, that is!)
With that move in thing, maybe it can come in handy for another let's play - you can accept their suggestion to move in together, and then just close the next window where you select sims to move between households. Nothing will happen and you won't get any bad sentiments.

My sim just aged up into a young adult and knows Lillie Flex from his childhood and they started dating again after a massive fight with his parents and left his half brother Colby Lee with his mother Liberty and her parents Ratna Lee and Cayla Lee left him with his new stepmother Summer Holiday
Can Jay reconnect with his parents or break up with his girlfriend Lillie Flex or will Jay reconnect with his half brother Colby. She soon becomes engaged to Jay Holiday and then breaks up with him and finds out Jay has cheated on with a old friend from his childhood

You can be engaged to more than one Sim at a time, you can even be married to to more than one, if the one that you aren't controlling proposes to your sim, then you can can married m, even if you are already married. I currently have one who is married and engaged to his mom 😅
