Totally agree. My dad's 88 and comes across as more capable than Joe Biden. But, he can see the similarities between Biden and himself and it's not down to dementia. It's just normal for a person of that age. That said, I don't think he should be the candidate, as he won't get elected and Trump will be president, despite having clear mental capacity issues.

Biden's polling better than any other Democrat named as a possible replacement (latest NPR/PBS NewsHour polling) and is even vs. Trump in electoral college modelling by 538. Despite hand wringing by many, he is the best shot at defeating Trump. Biden also just had a great outing addressing a rally in Michigan this evening.

But that's the very reason why he should focus on being President and step aside to allow another candidate to focus on defeating Trump who is, with all his BS, a formidable campaigner. Cognitively Biden is not up to these two massive challenges and no amount of wishful thinking will change this.
