Nørrebro is a district in north west Copenhagen that continually gets voted the "coolest part of Copenhagen". Perhaps this is due to its vibrant artistic and multicultural community that is found here. So come with me on a tour of the neighbourhood where I show you some local cafes, the famous Superkilen park, a tour of the street art/graffiti found in Nørrebro, as well as dinner at a special community cafe run entirely by women of ethnic minorities.

I spent my teenage years in the neighborhood around Assistens Kirkegaard. Back then Jaegersbrggade was a rough street, home to an infamous biker gang.

Erin, you were right!
And it's not just the coolest part of Copenhagen, but the coolest in the world, at least according to Time Out's newest evaluation called "The 49 coolest neighbourhoods in the world", where Nørrebro ranks number one.
Of course you already knew this seeing as you posted this video two months before the article was released.

Nørrebro, like Vesterbro, has really become gentrified over the last 10-20 years. It used to be the poor part of town but now every cool kid has their parents buy them an apartment there. Besides the few "ghetto areas" that part of town is mostly inhabited by young hipsters nowadays.
Edit: Fun fact...Jægersborggade didn't use to look that fancy. It was a place inhabited by the local Hells Angels crew where people went to buy weed.
Whoa that's so interesting about how much Jægersborggade has changed! All I saw was a lot of young, well off families and friends out for pricey brunches 🤭 Thanks for the inside info. You definitely could never tell that nowadays.

@@ErininCopenhagen That sounds impossible! Must be the rain keeping them away. Find one of those Steff Houlberg trucks and you can get the standard ristet hot dog med det hele for cheap. Well, at least cheaper than 65 kr! :D

Don't complain about the rain. It's the rain that made Danmark rich. This country can feed between 15 and 30 million people. The 30 millions is from an Indonesian Agriculture Professor who was studying Danish agriculture. He estimated that Danmark could feed 30 million Indonisians.
Look at other countries, Germany can just about feed own population, the UK only 40-50% of population. So never complain over the rain 😉
