This is the only video I could find on this subject, so thank you for sharing your experience! In 2017, I went to a private college mainly because it was close enough to home that my parents could still reach me but far enough from my hometown I hated. My parents called me crazy for even attempting to go to college and I took out really expensive loans in my name. I really over glamorized it being a "private" college. Long story short, I completed my first year with subpar grades, but owed money directly to the college and could not return the next year. I was devastated and thought I ruined my entire life. I spent years in a rut until now, I decided to start Fall 2020 working towards an associate's degree to transfer. Sometimes I feel sad that this upcoming year I would have been a senior getting ready to graduate, but then I remember I am not trying to "catch up" I'm just on my journey through life and everything is happening at the pace it was meant to.

I'm currently attending Campbell University, and just the whole year alone is 50,000 dollars plus the loan my parents made of 25,000 dollars....I loved the Campus, and the people I have met there, but they didnt have the master program I wanted and I'm in a spot to where I'm failing a few of my classes, My parents are disappointed in me and I just feel so broken down. But I feel like I should have gone to a CC when i had the chance. Thank you for sharing this video. This is the only one I could find about this topic.

Right?! It sucks that there's such a push for a university when community college is such a viable option. I wish you the best of luck in nursing school!! 🤗

I love this video. I have been so anxious and behind while going to a 4 year, after this semester of being in my major which I'd never been exposed to all the behind it and things that come with it, I know that I have to take a step back and I think it's okay to admit it.

I know it's really tough especially when society tells you that it seems like a 4-year is the only way! But sometimes you have to do what's best for YOU. Good luck to you girly!!

Omg, I will be attending APU this upcoming fall (I was so shocked when you mentioned it haha, felt like I was meant to watch this). Currently I have transferring on something I could possibly do if COVID doesn’t get better this year. I really don’t want to have my parents spend so much financially my first year of college (on top of the loans) especially if classes turn out to be online...
To be honest, when I visited the school I loved it and I felt like I was supposed to go there, exactly what you felt. I spent sooo much time figuring out which college to go before I chose APU (I even sent in a deposit in another school before...) but it irks me now that I have this new thought of transferring even though I haven’t experienced the first year yet but things don’t look so promising bc of the pandemic. But wow, this vid helped a lot. It’s like God brought me to this vid or something haha as it was comforting. Thank you! ❤️ By the way, can your AP credits transfer to a CC? :)

      Hey Emma
I would try to call the front desk and ask for an academic counselor at A Community College near you that has the programs that you are wanting to complete. But 1st I believe you have to apply and get accepted to meet directly with an advisor. I hope this helps

The nursing program is near San Dimas. It is in High Desert (Victorville). You should have spoke to a success coach to lead you properly.

Regardless, I wouldn't have been able to afford the program. I believe everything happened for a reason! :) APU was great though!
