      I'm surprised how well it has done. That wave on the end is for sure one of the ones that make you look silly in front of a beach full of people after a long day. Next video, full rigging for a day of fishing. I probably put an extra 100 lbs on my yak in ice, livewell, fishing poles, tackle, etc. But you did say you want this for a quick trips, not all day.

    Bet it's hard to go back to lugging around a kayak double or more the weight of this one. Certainly some setup needs to be optimized for this platform but simplicity/mobility I think is going to win out at the end of the day, and we're all not getting any younger. Thanks for all the videos, it's been very informative.

    Thanks for this video. I had questions about the Lynx stability in ‘rougher’ water than just floating around on the surface of a quiet lake. I had questions about the ‘high centered-ness’ of the chair vs a little rougher water AND how wet do you get. This video has been the only one I have watched that answered my questions. Again, thanks for posting.

    That landing was glorious and makes it look easy...much easier than a big kayak. You can almost walk off the front when it hits the sand and barely get your feet wet. Just keep a line in your hand, run up onto the beach, and pull it up. LOL! The Lynx looks more than capable of 99% of the people's uses out there!!! Thanks again for these reviews. Heres my thoughts on what Hobie is doing with several of their kayaks.....
    The trend was heavier, bigger, more feature rich kayaks. Hobie is now moving towards lighter, easier to transport, more responsive kayaks. Id love to see a light weight, thermoformed Outback or PA.

    Having had predators, sportsman pdl and sportsman salty, and now a Lynx, I'm amazed with it. All arounder, Lake Michigan, rivers, creeks, inland lakes, etc, so versatile. The price sucks, but it allowed me to replace two separate kayaks and do Everything with just One now. Crazy stable, stupid light and the kick up fins and drive is really a game changer, for me anyhow, love it.

    It'll be interesting to see long-term durability. Since the hull is foam-filled, you won't have to worry about it filling with water and sinking. But the stress of the mirage drive cracked my adventure. I was able to weld the crack and, three years later, the weld holds solid. I don't think this boat will be as easily repaired should it develop a crack. Still, I'm getting the lynx. Pretty sure about that.

    I was wondering how you like the h rail?
    Or do you prefure t track?
    I am thinking of adding one or the other to my rival.

    • @NavarreKayakFishing

      I personally haven’t installed the h-rail. I wanted the ability to quickly exit the kayak and I feel like it gets in the way.
      I use the t track for one or two items.

    Impressive. Any insight as to how she would've behaved with, say, 50 pounds more, onboard? I see she has a capacity of only 350, but she never appeared to "wallow" under load. Just trying to get a feel of her limitations.

      I can’t say for sure but it sits extremely high in the water when I’m on it and my buddy is atleast 250 and he doesn’t have any issues.

    What kind of mount do you have for your finder that fits on the chair mount? I have a Lowrance 5.55 on a ball rig on the track and it gets in the way fly fishing. Same with rod holder on other side/track.

    Any issue with durability yet? How's the seams holding up? I got my lynx last week, sadly it was damaged in transport, so I haven't got to try it yet. Waiting for a new boat.. Looking at the damage on mine, I got to see how thin the outer layers are before you puncture it, like 1-2 millimeters thick, which made me kinda worried that its just too fragile to last.

    I do mostly inshore fishing around mobile bay and the Mississippi sound would you recommend the lynx over say the compass or outback? 6'4 225 lbs

    • @NavarreKayakFishing
      @NavarreKayakFishing  3 года назад +1

      As long as you aren’t in or around oyster beds or rock walls I don’t think you will ever have an issue with performance. We have used it in so many situations now that I’m positive it can handle just about anything. If I was going to fish out of it hardcore and I really wanted to optimize the performance I would install a power pole or manual anchor stick just so I could stop quickly.

      @@NavarreKayakFishing only thing that makes me hesitant is lack of storage

    • @NavarreKayakFishing
      @NavarreKayakFishing  3 года назад

      For me the storage isn’t an issue. Especially inshore. Plenty of room for a crate in the back and room for tackle boxes under the seat.

      @@NavarreKayakFishingFrom what i saw in the video and thank you for that, the platform is not capable to keep you dry in sloppy waters. After i saw your video i made my made to stay away from it and buy the outback. I was considering the Lynx due to light weight but since i fish in sea and not in lakes Lynx is not for that use from what i saw in your video. Thanx again!

      P.S. I need to find a way to fit the AMA kit to the Lynx, will give me a lot more pease of mind at the sea as the Outback with AMA kit is simply outstanding in terms of stability, you can jig,break dance, do some of that Lord of the Dance stuff on it- no problemo :):):)
