I shopped all of the cars in this class. #1. C-HR #2. C-X3 and #3. HRV were my top picks until I found the Hyundai Kona. A white Hyundai Kona Limited is the car I recently purchased and I'm loving the car!!! I must be one of the first on the road here in Dallas. More car, similar tech, solid build, tight ride, dual clutch 7 speed transmission (NO CVT thank goodness!), fast (especially switching from normal to sport mode, it's like getting 2 cars in one) and great styling all for less 💰💰 with a better warrantee. The only thing I see when driving are heads turning and traffic in my rearview mirror ✌😎!!!
The most convincing tiny SUV you can buy so far. Despite it's small size Hyundai continues to provide all the amenities and features the competitors leave off because it is their "entry level" offering.
I'm personally more intrigued by the EV variant coming next year...

We had a Hyundai Kona SE as a rental in New Hampshire. I swear to God that was the best car I have seen in a while. I love the cuteness of it.

This vehicle is something I’d definitely consider if I ever needed more space. Hyundai knocked it out of the park with the appearance. And 6 and a half seconds to 60? Granted, that’s not what you buy these for, but it helps for merging. I am sold.
Also, when did the Elantra Sport sound so badass??

Did not intend on cconsidering this vehicle but when I took my Elantra 2015 for service and was given this Kona as a loaner... I unwillingly took it home and man did I fall in love with it. I heard compact SUV and was intimidating because I like small cars and never heard of KONA before but the ride is so smooth and the front is gorgeous.. I can see above cars when stuck in traffic so I don't feel suffocated lol. Thanks to their marketing/sales techniques... I am 70 percent sure I'm trading in 🙄 great review!! Thank you so much for pushing me over the edge of purchase haha🙃

Just boughy the Blue Limited today! Love it, very unique and drives quite well. Definitely reccomend for those interested in a compact yet spacious car.
Great detailed video -- I have been driving Elantras for awhile (2013 and 2016) but now looking at Kona for 2019. After your video, I'm thinking SEL with Technology Package because I'd rather have the safety features than the leather seats and Turbo. Thanks for pointing out that some features are NOT available in Limited model.

The Kona is a cute little crossover. I believe the Kona has been out since the 2017 model year.
Really cool car, it's on the list of my next car because I want a smaller daily drive. I have a 14 Cherokee now.
i like that they are trying to be different, its not a horrible looking car, i think it looks cool. But they need to minimize the plastic cladding everywhere if they want to make it look better in my opinion, everyone knows what that plastic cladding will look like after 10+ years in the sun and weather
Kyle is a consummate professional reviewer. I tried to listen to other smaller independent reviewers and I got a headache from the very, very, really, actually and basically dialog when they reviewed. Kyle must have good writers or a thesaurus.
I can say as a Hyundai sales manager, these konas are on fire on our lots. Since they have come out they are the hottest car we have!
Noob question but.. Why is there a keyhole on the driver side door when it's a remote start car? Can you get a traditional start version?

I love the car. The starter motor sounds "interesting" lol but I don't mind cause it's unique. My dad was thinking about one but he didn't like the lack of a manual

The size of this looks like the 2005-2010 Kia Sportage LX And EX V6. Some of the front shape looks like the older sportage. And maybe the back.

Not a terrible looking car now that I've had some time to stare at it. I've seen quite a few already where I live. Could do without the plastic cladding though. Stuff will be faded and oxidized in no time.

The front looks pretty much exactly like a -2018 Jeep Cherokee.
Jeeps definitely have a distinct appearance and look nothing like the Kona. The split drl/headlight us similar, but that's about it
