Haven't found such a precise review of the new Tiguan showing us all of its feature (including the power liftgate) until now! Thank you so much for that in-depth review!
This guy is the reason I got my 2013 Mazda 5, I loved his review so much that I got the van and named it LINUS. Heehee, I miss his old style tho too, with this new style he has, he should go apply to be the new host of Motorweek Television. Heehee
I've been watching Tiguan reviews from Europe, India, and Australia for over a year. I am very curious about this new Tiguan and am waiting anxiously to see it first hand here in the US. Having said that, this is one of the best reviews I've seen yet. Very nice, and very complete. Nicely done. I am worried about VW reliability. Some people and reviews say they love their VWs. Other people and reviews excoriate VW reliability and the costs to maintain their cars. I don't know that I've seen such a dichotomy of opinion for any other brand. What are your thoughts about VW, reliability, and costs to maintain? Thanks very much.
Hey Kyle, thanks for another great video! I might have just missed it on the video, but does the backup camera still hidden in the VW emblem? Anyways, keep uploading, cheers!
Great Review Bud. This is the first VW I am considering. It seems really roomy and the cargo room should be great without the 3rd row. It runs on regular according to the fuel door and VW apparently has made their warranty much better on these.
My grandma wants me to get a car similar to the Ford Escape, so I'm looking into the VW Tiguan, GMC Terrain, Chevrolet Equinox, and the Ford Escape. Which one should I get?
Great review as always Kyle. I have a previous gen 14 Tiguan SE 4motion and while it is smaller I am gathering from the reviews ( yours included) it was much more sporty with being more of a larger raised golf with AWD than this Tiguan that is more it's own car. I do like but not love the new styling but the interior is much nicer than my car.
Damn man, haven't watched your videos in a while (I don't really care about exotics), you changed so much, now it's just clips and you talking over them, I miss your old style when you took us around the car and showed all the features. Looking like a magazine review these days.
Not sure what you mean by "old style", but If you watched the video, you would see that I show all of the features in more detail than I ever did before. My goal with these videos is to create an immersive experience and teach people everything they'd want to know about their favorite vehicles, whether they're consumers or enthusiasts. I shoot the majority of everything with a tripod now to keep things steady so you can focus on those details and have to deal with shaky camera angles. I work very hard making the most thorough review videos on youtube, that's why the channel has grown the way it has. No matter your personal preference, there's always something enjoyable to watch (vlogs, project car, etc). The concept of my videos haven't changed, but the quality of filming and the information I try to provide is what sets them apart. With each review I make, I try and provide a service to my viewers that's both professional and friendly for all ages.
Saabkyle04 I meant when you visited dealerships and did like a tour of the car. Also you used to do a lot of junk rare cars, even trucks I remember and all you did was pick up the keys and show us around, maybe I'm too simplistic or just being nostalgic. Sorry If It looked like I was complaining, I just stated the obvious, your videos now are way different than before, I agree with everything you said, your quality keeps improving and now it's more professional that's why I compared you to a magazine. I went back to an old video I really liked looking for things to try to explain to you what I mean, besides the way you filmed I guess the difference is in the title, In Depth tour, now it's In Depth review. My conclusion is that I miss the "tours".
I also missed that, now the videos are too long and he just shows and talks over them and sometimes he is not even talking about what he is showing. I used to like when he pressed every single button to tell what it does and the video was short but still show everything you want to know. Which is kind of odd because it would be easier for him to edit and les filming. But I guess that is what the new audience wants, idk...
Hey, Kyle, I am a short guy, 5'6" and wanted to know if my forward seated driving position will leave enough room to keep my right hand on the hand rest. The middle hand rest seems to be put quite back, so I don't know if that will leave enough space for shorter drivers.
I picked up on the very appropriate "exhaust garnishes", the first time I had heard that term. Did you come up with that or is it an established industry term?
Kyle, I wish you kept doing the first person POV vids when you were posting new content, I dearly miss that. I have been watching other RUclips channels that still do what you invented and hope you can take note of my comment because I don't find these new reviews that interesting and are more in line with typical car reviews I don't find appealing. I'm not trying to bash you or anything, I still love your channel, but the new videos to me are just not the same as they were. Sincerely from a fan who's been watching your videos since 2009.
Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm constantly striving to improve my videos and create professional content that immerses you in each vehicle, while teaching you everything you'd want to know. The channel has naturally evolved through a combination of suggestions and my desires to make the best looking video possible. The concept of the videos haven't changed at all, but the way I film them not only looks better, but it provides actual value so instead of just walking around the car, I'm showing you why each and every vehicle is unique in their own special way. Granted, my videos take a lot longer to produce than they used to, but I believe they're worth it. I take the time to go into the details that most others overlook, they're nothing like a traditional youtube car reviews. It's a good thing they're not the exact same as they were, you have to adapt and change things up, that's the only way to keep interest, try new things and find new viewers. That's why the channel has grown like it has, my videos are designed for folks who love cars and love learning about them.
Hey man, thanks for the reply. While I still very much miss your old way of making videos, I can better understand why you might want to change once in awhile. After all, I'm only one viewer. Take care, -Tristan
I don't get the "market" for this car. I would think the atlas will cover any range this tiguan is after. On another thought...I'd really love to see your review of what I think is the best "off-road" rig currently on the market, the chevy colorado ZR2!
Maybe the styling will grow on me like the newest GL Class Mercedes Benz. At this point though the previous generation Tiguan looked far better and had that sort of mean edgy look to it. I'm sure it will drive great though.
Djonkie Bonk not to mention the inside of the old version Tiguan is soft and padded when the new one is all hard plastic, which I guess is fitting as there are all those edges/squares/angles. Over all, the new look inside and out is making the new version more masculine.
I remember I had a 2010 wolfsburg edition and the turbo was messing up also oil got in to the spark pugs like every time I drove out less than one minute the car would cute off
can you do a review on a 2017 Chevy Silverado Ltz z71 crew cab short box 6.2 v8 with graphite metallic and Coco/ dune interior with bucket seats and Bose speakers
Nice loving the new Tiguan - Looks similar to the ATLAS. If anyone would like to see the ATLAS at Night with the lighting. Just search on RUclips ATLAS Night Review or search on my channel.
Hey Kyle, I was wondering if you are willing to come down to a car dealership with a couple of interesting cars such as the carrera gt and Lamborghini jalpa to review
Twin Chrome exhaust "Garnishes" HAHAHA I see what you did there. Btw, why do VW have so many iterations of the 2.0T engine? Their hp/tq numbers have a huge range. Doesn't the Golf/GTI have a different hp ratings on their 2.0Ts?
BENKYism Nope. The new Touareg is gonna be announced later this year and it'll be based on the new mlb evo platform that's shared with the Cayenne, Q7, Q8, Bentayga and Urus
Hm I don't like the LWB Tiguan, prefer the normal short one we get in Europe! And the wheels make it look kinda boring, don't ask me why :D rental Tiguans looks better haha (ok here they're actually spec'd very well)
Brian a Tiguan does have decent space, but of course the LWB has more! Well in America everything is bigger, the roads etc so why not! I mean if I have 2,3 kids etc, the LWB is great! In Europe people would buy "vans" for family carriers or even SUVS

5 years later and my 2018 Tiguan SEL premium R-Line is still treating me well!!
Hey kyle, your vids are so good people are LITERALLY copying you!! your the best car reviewer on youtube!
Haven't found such a precise review of the new Tiguan showing us all of its feature (including the power liftgate) until now! Thank you so much for that in-depth review!
I really enjoy the build quality of Volkswagens, they are also very comfortable.
;-)
Chase Wigger
I agree! Volkswagens are awesome! To me, they're one of the best at providing premium quality and features with affordable prices.
you get a lot of tech for that money too, full digital gauges and touch screen nav
Volkswagen products are not that good
@@bobbydemondukes Unneccesary mate, be clever.
Thanks Kyle. been waiting for good review on this new Tiguan.
This video was very well made. You totally have the talent for marketing. Take care
Stunning looks.
Great review. My family rented that car back in December and the leather seatings are so beautiful!
Un suv espectacular. Lo probamos hace casi un año en su version mas potente y con el paquete R. Un exito en España y en Europa.
This guy is the reason I got my 2013 Mazda 5, I loved his review so much that I got the van and named it LINUS. Heehee, I miss his old style tho too, with this new style he has, he should go apply to be the new host of Motorweek Television. Heehee
This Tiguan looks so much better!
"Hey everybody how's it go-un, thanks so much for tunern in..." love it
Good review as usual...
That VW Tiguan is so cool!
I've driven this already, such a great car in my opinion, very smooth

great detailed review Kyle. keep it up. suggestion.. you should change your handle to something like - easydriver- something less saab-esq
Rico Ricore well he likes saabs. I don't think he would change it if he likes saabs so much.
Awesome video saab Kyle04
About time saab kyle makes a video of regular vehicles not all of us can afford a viper or a lambo kyle!
Great review Kyle, keep up the good work!
I like the looks of it, especially the digital cockpit. Wish it had more HP power and engine choices.
Great Review Bud. This is the first VW I am considering. It seems really roomy and the cargo room should be great without the 3rd row. It runs on regular according to the fuel door and VW apparently has made their warranty much better on these.
Stunning color, Awesome review as usual Kyle ;)
Kyle you should make a review for the 2018 Dacia Duster! It's looking absolutely amazing!!
I don't like volkswagon but this is the best model I've seen of this car...
My grandma wants me to get a car similar to the Ford Escape, so I'm looking into the VW Tiguan, GMC Terrain, Chevrolet Equinox, and the Ford Escape. Which one should I get?

Which one drives better? The new Tiguan or the new CX5?
See one car for the family. A 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL AWD. Wheelbase is longer, Width is Wider, Height is Higher and Length is Stretchy.
Saabkyle you should do a review of the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. I loved the Beele and the Superbeetle review, and would love a Karman Ghia review.
Last time I was this early the 240 was stock.
Hahahaha
Saabkyle04 Is there a chance of reviewing the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica or Pacifica hybrid
Lavonte A Yeah I would like to see one too
Saabkyle04 just curious but will you do a 2017 Super duty soon?
Kyle, I noticed that part of the drive was through Bear Creek Canyon. I live in Evergreen, Colorado. So, I am not too far away from there.
Although I think you'll do it anyway, when it arrives can you please do a review of a 2018 Ford Expedition
The current generation Tiguan pretty similar to the new Volkswagen Atlas. The Volkswagen Tiguan is a nice car.

Saabkyle04 i really miss the old style.
great video!! my request is that.....can you make video of 2017/2018 volkswagen arteon pls.?
Hey, Kyle, I am a short guy, 5'6" and wanted to know if my forward seated driving position will leave enough room to keep my right hand on the hand rest. The middle hand rest seems to be put quite back, so I don't know if that will leave enough space for shorter drivers.

Hi. Is there gonna be a Hyundai Ioniq review?
My main concern in buying one is the engine. Don't know why they saddled a larger, heavier car with less power and ditched the full sized spare :(
Love it!
COOL 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan: Start Up, Road Test & In Depth Review
Post whatever videos you need to get you that money for the 240 bud! nice job
Kyle where do you live in NC? And I wish you can do more used cars reviews
look and pause at 6:34 the exauhst doesn't even connect to the bumper trim piece 😂
I said that in the video, they're decorative, same thing with the Atlas.
I picked up on the very appropriate "exhaust garnishes", the first time I had heard that term. Did you come up with that or is it an established industry term?
Raphael Montes Hahaha, if you read your comment you can see you spelled exhaust wrong.
So disappointing.
The Tiguan.
Access all areas.
i love your car videos
i have the 2016 tiguan... the only downside to that is the passenger front seat.. it is not comfortable.... i hope the new 2018 is better
The new Tiguan is looking very Atlas.

thank all 😁😁😁
Seems like you get LWB version only. In Europe we can choose between SWB and LWB.
I didn't know there were two lengths in Europe, that's cool! Yeah, this is the only one we get.
Randoom Which country in Europe can get LWB?
The Tiguan limited will be the swb, but still it's going to be discontinued
I wanted a SWB with a TDI. Guess that won't be happening. Thanks, VW!
I don't get the "market" for this car. I would think the atlas will cover any range this tiguan is after. On another thought...I'd really love to see your review of what I think is the best "off-road" rig currently on the market, the chevy colorado ZR2!
E. Simons The atlas is huge and the old Tiguan was too small, no third row, so for some so this is a good middle ground crossover
Maybe the styling will grow on me like the newest GL Class Mercedes Benz. At this point though the previous generation Tiguan looked far better and had that sort of mean edgy look to it. I'm sure it will drive great though.

Hey Kyle , can you add again prices of cars in discription like in older videos?
I dont know but I like more older videos =D .
I outline everything in the video now, thanks!
Saabkyle04 And please Kyle will you get back your intro please? It's simple but really awesome to me :) .
Any word on the next 240sx build vid?
Sooo the Tiguan has the same space as the Touareg?
Lockable glovebox? How?
I remember I had a 2010 wolfsburg edition and the turbo was messing up also oil got in to the spark pugs like every time I drove out less than one minute the car would cute off

can you do a review on a 2017 Chevy Silverado Ltz z71 crew cab short box 6.2 v8 with graphite metallic and Coco/ dune interior with bucket seats and Bose speakers
Not meaning to sound weird but do you live at 357 Craig Manor Rd in Lancaster, SC ?
Great review as always . I really like it , like I liked the older one .

Kyle, how is the name Tiguan supposed to be pronounced? You flip flop between calling it Teeg-wan and Tig-wan. Just curious. Thanks!
nice car :)
vw always displayed minor progress (at least stylistically) between generations of a model
0:47 2021 upcoming chime
can you pleas were this black jacket in your next video
Nice loving the new Tiguan - Looks similar to the ATLAS. If anyone would like to see the ATLAS at Night with the lighting. Just search on RUclips ATLAS Night Review or search on my channel.
Looks like a mixture of a q5 and a q7
Volkswagen Tijuana, needs some tequila, donkeys, and a sombrero.
i love volks wagons
You forgot lights and hazards
You got super mario maker corses?
VWs are way better than Chevys....Chevys and GM cars are JUNK.
Can you review the new renault megane gt? im interested to get that car but i want you to review it in every detail thank you
why not?
Hey Kyle, I was wondering if you are willing to come down to a car dealership with a couple of interesting cars such as the carrera gt and Lamborghini jalpa to review

Is it because of their change to 87 octane regular gas?
VW Builds such beautiful taillights for their cars and than they get ruined in the US by combining the brake and turn signal lights. So ugly.
did they axe the tuareg?
BENKYism Nope. The new Touareg is gonna be announced later this year and it'll be based on the new mlb evo platform that's shared with the Cayenne, Q7, Q8, Bentayga and Urus
nice
I guess I'm the only one that heard "hey, if u want"
Please do civic turbo 2017 kyle :)))
The glovebox is not lockable :(
Hm I don't like the LWB Tiguan, prefer the normal short one we get in Europe! And the wheels make it look kinda boring, don't ask me why :D rental Tiguans looks better haha (ok here they're actually spec'd very well)

Not bad VW
how reliable is VW??
Very bad
Jason Gee My Mum has an 03 Golf and it has never failed to start and has past inspection every time with flying colours . Only problems she has had are coil packs and then the regular brakes and pads , springs and bushes . But this is too be expected . Overall I would say not too bad , not as reliable as a Toyota or Lexus , but in my opinion overall a VW is a nicer car with good fuel economy and they are built like tanks .
VW 03' ist not VW of today.
I suppose , A friend has a new(er) VW - 2010 which has also not had many problems . Admittedly more than my mums '03 though . the main issue with it is the fact that it seems to consume lights . It is on its original everything else apart from tires , Although not totally reliable they seem to be pretty good to me . By reliable , I guess it also depends on who owned it first and how well they treated it . Or if new , how well it was run in and maintained .
Dan L I wouldn't say a VW is nicer than a Lexus. Especially the 2018 LS or LC.
Reminds me of a Ford SUV.
I want
VOLKSWAGEN
good
