      @ShaneRogers-b1t haha right! A solid one piece one might do the trick!

    nice work there. A saddle and a porta power would pull that plate flush, But them forks work like a charm.

      @110welding i just have the harbor freight porta power and it's not very strong. This equipment is always available at this site so I quit carrying it in the truck.

      @@waggonerwelding , so i see, the second arm used was much more effective than the forks and what any porta power can do... nice videos, i am a new Sub now 🤙

      @110welding yea it worked great. I was looking into getting a truck with a crane but I rarely need it out there with all the equipment around. Thanks for watching! 👍

    Wow, what a great video! You guys are really finding your groove now. How thick are those plates they look like 1/2" on screen. Good thing those mini excavators were around 😂. I have never seen anyone use an impact on a F clamp, that was cool! I was like🤔 thats not gonna work, It's just gonna slip or pop off, then 😮🤯. Really nice job, love the rig setup and the pup too. SUBSCRIBED! ✌️

      Thank you! We really appreciate the feedback! Good eye! All of the new plate and tubing was 1/2". Only some brands of those clamps will take a socket. Pretty handy though! When that doesn't work the excavators usually do the trick! 👍

    QUESTION ? The uprights in the front. what if tubing large enough to saddle top n bottom at the cross members by half the width of each cross members?

    • @waggonerwelding
      @waggonerwelding  2 месяца назад

      @ShaneRogers-b1t I'm sure that would have been stronger. This got tore up in about 6 months. We got rid of the vertical supports and did a single really heavy round tube for the main horizontal bar. That video will be up soon.

    Are you running FCAW with a mig gun? Or FCAW dualshield?

    • @waggonerwelding
      @waggonerwelding  8 месяцев назад

      We ran FCAW on this one. Tried a bit of dual shield but it wasn't worth using up the gas for this. And yes it is a mig gun that we use for dual shield and flux core wire. Works just fine. I definitely recommend a flux core specific lead if that's all you weld with. We go back and forth so a lead with a gas line is a must for us. I will likely get a better FCAW gun soon and just switch when needed.
