    Thanks for the trust of Dalian Leaf owner, consigning the leaf car to Vivne factory to install 62kwh battery pack by pallet truck. Total 2100 kilometers in distance from Dalian, Liaoning province to Jingzhou, Hubei province. No doubt is a big fan! After replacing the battery, he personally did the crouching test, and the actual car range tested is 567 kilometers, greatly exceeding expectations!

    Hello. Just one question: your pack battery CATL get a system against the "rapidegate" (high température after 2 charges)?

    • @VIVNEVS
      @VIVNEVS  Месяц назад +4

      We replace from the original soft battery to big CATL cells. Generate less heat and bears a much smaller C rate. The big CATL cells can withstand 3C charge/discharge and can also withstand continuous charge/discharge of more than 1C. Take our 62kwh for example, fast charge power of Leaf is 47kw, at maximum current of 150A, we replace with 180Ah big CATL cells, so the charging rate is even less than 1C.

      Not at all! I go on my leaf relatively frequently on 800+ mile round trips. In California it's pretty doable and almost free(Los Angeles to bay area and back). But I have relatively small pack, about 35 kWh usable capacity. Biggest problem begins with relatively uncomfortable seats in such distance. In my case relatively small pack is a good thing, every 2 hours I have about 30-40 minutes to rest while car is charging.

      Plastic is not very good conductor of electricity. Where is almost to exposed terminals. If you wanna wear insulation gloves while undoing connectors it's up to you. I can tell you even with bare hands in ideal California weather this connectors are not easy to disconnect, if you have dirt, dust and salts it will not gonna make your work any easier. I rarely touch safety disconnect, only when I go inside of the pack. For removal and installation from my experience it's a bad idea to even touch it.

      It depends of the price.
      But you must understand one thing: a first battery Leaf 24 kWh can't make easily more than 200000km because of a limites number of charge (1000, 1500 ). 1 charge of thid battery gives about 120 km, so 200000km IS for me the higher distance you Can expect.
      But, if you change thé old battery by another with more range (62 kWh), you Can expect to drive between 300000 km and 400000 km.
      On m'y opinion, that's a very good Idea.

Your SOH still can be above 80%. We have domestic uber driver, since last year he upgraded the 62kwh battery with us, he is fast charging everyday and had run for 10,0000kms in a year, SOH still got 97.18%.
