Plastic is not very good conductor of electricity. Where is almost to exposed terminals. If you wanna wear insulation gloves while undoing connectors it's up to you. I can tell you even with bare hands in ideal California weather this connectors are not easy to disconnect, if you have dirt, dust and salts it will not gonna make your work any easier. I rarely touch safety disconnect, only when I go inside of the pack. For removal and installation from my experience it's a bad idea to even touch it.
These are already very heavy vehicles for their size nearly 1500kg. Won't this increase the weight even more? Will you have to modify the suspension to cope with the extra weight?

What is the true mileage with air conditioner on? There are many MODES you can drive in. For examples, you have Eco mode with B combined for regenerative power. Then you have Eco and D which is in the middle. Then you have just D for Drive mode for maximum speed. Of course these modes are affected by air conditioner on full maximum power which depletes battery by 20% -30% percent! VIVNE claims 304 miles for battery life, however did not specify which MODE this tested in? Also with air conditioner on? True mileage will vary on which modes you choose and conditions.
We usually drive in D mode. In summer time, if with the air conditioner on, depletes battery by 10% percent, yet depletes more when in winter time. We had also tested the range with full highway and air conditioner is on the whole time. Please check the other testing videos in the channel. Thank you.

Do you think that the air conditioner depletion is less compared to the newest generation to the previous generation? You claim 10% depletion with air conditioning but what about Generation 1 style of Leaf? If you can test air conditioner depletion with Generation 1 it might be better example because I think the newer Leaf have better technology in the software or build to distribute energy from air conditioner than previous Generation.

No need for Can bridge. We had re-programmed the BMS. The 62kwh pack is only 85kgs heavier than original, which just as taking an adult in your car. So no need to change the rear springs. Also no other software need to be upgraded.
0-80% fast charging takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, 0-100% takes about 2 hours. LFP batteries cannot be used on Leaf cars. Car range is 430kms. Fast charge time from 1 to 2 hours.

We replace from the original soft battery to big CATL cells. Generate less heat and bears a much smaller C rate. The big CATL cells can withstand 3C charge/discharge and can also withstand continuous charge/discharge of more than 1C. Take our 62kwh for example, fast charge power of Leaf is 47kw, at maximum current of 150A, we replace with 180Ah big CATL cells, so the charging rate is even less than 1C.

Not at all! I go on my leaf relatively frequently on 800+ mile round trips. In California it's pretty doable and almost free(Los Angeles to bay area and back). But I have relatively small pack, about 35 kWh usable capacity. Biggest problem begins with relatively uncomfortable seats in such distance. In my case relatively small pack is a good thing, every 2 hours I have about 30-40 minutes to rest while car is charging.
I'm hoping there's a garage here in New Zealand that would do this. I have 72% SoH 2015 30kwh Nissan Leaf. I really need battery replacement a year or 2 from now :(

But you must understand one thing: a first battery Leaf 24 kWh can't make easily more than 200000km because of a limites number of charge (1000, 1500 ). 1 charge of thid battery gives about 120 km, so 200000km IS for me the higher distance you Can expect. But, if you change thé old battery by another with more range (62 kWh), you Can expect to drive between 300000 km and 400000 km. On m'y opinion, that's a very good Idea. For the 62kWh battery, the weight is only 85kgs heavier than original, just as taking a male adult in your car. So no need to modify the suspension.
