The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn’t control or use shame. One of our core principals is agency, the right to choose for yourself. If we have a love for Jesus it is because we have chose that for ourselves and we chose to follow the commandments because of that love.

Honestly Barbara, it isn’t surprising in the slightest. If anything it’s expected when you grow up under such tough constraints, rules and strict parenting, that you rebel and sneak around.

@@peteradams5857 don't know which church he belongs to, but we don't teach any of that. And I am a nurse and worked many times on a sunday.
I am also lds and we are able to work on Sundays. We just try to keep the Sabbath day holy as much as life permits.

People outside the US know very little about Mormonism. It's not a global religion the way Islam or Buddhism or Christianity is.
