Really needed this I’m a freshman going into my high school year and hearing this really shows me,that they’re are a a lot o things i new to improve on not just physically but mentally 💯
Tbh I've seen small improvements to my game and hope to just improve and keep working hard. Your videos continue to inspire me. God Bless u and keep up the great work.
Mark I have been binge watching your videos lately and I have a question for you, how can I practice a quick draw release when I'm putting my shots up if I don't have a rebounder or a rebounding machine?
1. Put the ball on the ground and shoot it as you pick it up. 2. Flip the ball to yourself and shoot immediately 3. Do a 180 hop jump back and forth and shoot.
I have basketball tryouts(i'm a freshman) in 2 months and I really need to become a way better shooter.. do you have any training tips for me? I love your channel so much and I've been watching so many videos of yours lately.
day 1 of asking mark to create a gym workout routine specifically for basketball players. W vid as always, gonna try to improve my shooting so i stop being useless. thanks mark
I just came off a year leading my team in scoring with 12.4 ppg, but there was still so many tips in this video that i can add to my game. I was already very agressive with my drives, but my shooting i wasnt as agressive with in catch and shoot situations even though im an alright shooter so thats something ill probably work on
What should I do if there's a person on my team who get's all the touches and barely passes to me because I am an undersized center, and my coach just underestimates me all the time and tells me to get my butt to the basket but I think I am a good shooter and my efficiency is about 75% I only scored 20 points this season.
Hi I just discovered this channel. I recently got interested in basketball and I am spending my summer training for tryouts. I haven’t played on a team. I’m 6’1 going into sophomore year. Can I make it to varsity?
Mark, my problem is that my coach simply isnt goving me any opportunities and due to that my teammates think im horrible(meaning i never get passed too) , what can i do?
Gotta cook them when you get the chance. Every player that sat the bench knows you gotta be in attack mode because you wont get a handout like everybody else who’s starting. Gotta make plays for yourself and others when you get the ball. Cant be scared to shoot
Check out the video on my channel titled: How to ACTUALLY play basketball with confidence. A lot of people said it helped them. It’s the advice I wish I had when I was younger.
Real basketball isnt taught nowadays and its said. Everything you said is simple basketball. Angles, motion, confidence. Thats fundamentals of basketball. People need to stop watching these iso players. Easy points comes from getting to your spots. Even iso players know this
Nooo bro stop listening to this new school ball. Its not really basketball. You can get 20 points off midrange and then get in your 3 point shooting bag. Nobody is going to be mad if you’re making middies

where can we find your highlights
Do you have any tips for a 17 yr old thats never played before that wants to join the varsity team? Thanks man love the content btw
You gotta work real hard to catch up to the guys that have been playing for a while
Learn fundamentals of basketball. First. Then lift weights.

Just keep working hard man. Get so good that there is zero doubt you deserve the ball. Don’t just be “good enough” be the best you can possibly be.
@@markkeepsGod1st I'll try.
as a center/pf tryna be a guard how can i build confidents dribbling the ball and handling ball pressure
Practice your ball handling
Imma just be crazy at everything
id like to see your try buddy

Going into sophomore year trying to go from 9ppg to 15+ varsity
Hi I just discovered this channel. I recently got interested in basketball and I am spending my summer training for tryouts. I haven’t played on a team. I’m 6’1 going into sophomore year. Can I make it to varsity?
Doesn’t matter what I think. It matters what you think.
@@markkeepsGod1st Thanks for responding. I’ll give varsity a try. If I don’t make it I’ll try for JV
Hey man! Just saw your highlights. You got any offers?
Not yet. Hopefully next year!
Mark, my problem is that my coach simply isnt goving me any opportunities and due to that my teammates think im horrible(meaning i never get passed too) , what can i do?
Make the most of every opportunity that you do actually get. It may be few and far between but make the most of them
Gotta cook them when you get the chance. Every player that sat the bench knows you gotta be in attack mode because you wont get a handout like everybody else who’s starting. Gotta make plays for yourself and others when you get the ball. Cant be scared to shoot
be the best defender on the floor and get all the rebounds kinda like draymond green, pat bev, jrue holiday etc
Mark, I didn’t make the team 2 times in a row, and I am just trying hard. It’s really just my confidence, can u help?

Any tips for 8th grade year
Use that time to expand your game and don’t worry about mistakes. The more you learn from mistakes when you’re young, the better.

yeah ballis life is annyoing people are just trying to show off
Is midrange pullups a bad go to as my one thing because I feel like its what im best at but I hear some people say its not a good shot
If the ball goes in, it’s a good shot.
Nooo bro stop listening to this new school ball. Its not really basketball. You can get 20 points off midrange and then get in your 3 point shooting bag. Nobody is going to be mad if you’re making middies
Midrange pull up is one of the most efficient shots if you shoot it well. Its like a layup if you’re like a westbrook player
well kobe bryant scored 81 while mostly shooting from the midrange rather than 3 dont watch only this modern nba watch old school games aswell
