This vlog could not be more delightful. The music in Bourdeau! The Santons, I always collected the buildings. Love the town and all of your inspired art work. When I have tried to like these vlogs it does not seem to register anymore. I love seeing Quebec, one of my favorite walled cities. Great views of all your Holiday vlogs!
Love the new cut the style makes you look younger and more up-to-date. It also slims your face down. Nòw how many people can find the time to sit and do this, as beautiful as it is ❤
This is a great and creative tradition. Well done! Also, I love the wallpaper and how you got the trees in between the doorways. You are a creative duo!
How thrilling to see Quebec spotlighted in the Bordeaux Market, more people to see our awesome Canadian style..... To have any region of Canada spotlighted and shared with other cultures just makes my day
Bordeaux and Quebec city are twin/sister cities since 1962! In the summer in the Québec old port we had a Bordeaux wine event until 2019, but I think they want to re start it :)
🎄⛄️ 🇨🇦 Hello and Happy holidays from Montreal! So nice to see that Québec was spotlighted at the Bordeaux Market. In Quebec we have had a big influx of French immigrants over the last 10 years who wanted to purchase farms in France but farmland was far cheaper for them here in Québec. So we now have many more French style organic foods in our farmers markets and shops including organic beef, pork, chicken, and wines from vineyards our new French immigrant farmers started. Francophone Quebecers and those of us whose ancestry is part French, love great quality food & drink. It is a focus of ever big party. By living here Montreal which is a melting pot of cultures, we are also exposed to the best foods from a vast number of ethnicities . We are spoiled for choice! In a 2023 Canada wide survey for the top 100 restaurants, Montreal had 27 of the top 100 restaurants in Canada.
About the hair rail in dining room- use two separate pieces of moulding. Can install first one and tuck second up under first Each can be nailed on a flat section.
Thank you for this episode! The tours of St Emilion and Bordeaux were lovely! So enjoyed your crafting the village for the Santons~ relaxing and inspiring! Happy Holidays! 🌲🌲☃☃💕💕
The breakfastroom is so lovely, with the new wallpaper! But I do think a beautiful plaster medallion and some stucco mouldings around the ceiling would really finish it off beautifully 😁
Love how you made the infrastructure for your little village scene! Beautifully, skillfully done & so special because you did this together & featured both of your artistic talents!! Thank you too for sharing your trips to the Christmas markets in St Emilion & Bordeux!! Such fun & what a surprise about the Canada connection! Happy Holidays!! 🇺🇸
Bordeaux, BX (diminutif) meaning in french Bord d'Eaux (Water side or river side, at the limit) Border, Bording in english comes from Bord (limite) border "verb" (limiter) a river ( coming from french, rive, rivière) a rive which is Bording water ;)
Hi Sarah & Steve, I am not surprised that working together you've created a wonderful nativity scene. I'm looking forward to traveling to Bordeau when we travel to France later this year. Mark & Scott...(almost up to date with your channel.)
Y'all are a couple of creative and clever makers! Love the structures you created for the Santons. The end result was excellent. Fun that you ran into some fellow Canadians at the Christmas market. Merry Christmas!
I absolutely love your projects today. I’ve just started using the clay myself so I know how fun it is. I do have to add that I absolutely love your new wallpaper and paint work you’ve done recently. Great job you two, keep up the great work!
Always a pleasure to visit Manor&Maker especially when they are involved with creating something new. Beautiful Christmas creche, all you need now is a Mountie 🇨🇦
What a fun video! I love the Christ-centered mural at 8:00! (My interpretation.) I bet if I went everyday to that market, I would see something new in the artwork.🎨Cool that you made stick and clay pieces for your Christmas Village! Great idea, I've never thought of doing that! About 25 yrs ago, my husband surprised me with a couple of porcelain houses for Christmas and the Minnesota snow village has been growing ever since. It changes every year, like you said. I've had skiers and kids on toboggans sledding down a big hill, a country scene with a Victorian farmhouse and barn with animals, two-tier cityscapes, and always an ice skating rink with skaters. I use an 7"x 9" oval mirror for the rink/pond with "snow" and shrubbery around the edges. I love the variety of villagers as much as the buildings. They make the village bustling with activity as well as lit buildings and street lamps.
What an amazing scene you both created! I couldn’t think of anyone better to be custodians of these wonderfully crafted villagers and animals.Steve your artistic skills are greater than just as a painter, the shelter looked so professional and aged in keeping with the scene. And Sarah, how cleverly you made that wall and the Well. The whole scene came alive with all the rocks and ground cover - absolutely fantastic!👏👌🎄🙏🏻🥰
I love watching you create your village! Your stable and well add so much texture with the walls ! You will have so much fun adding to your village! I wish you both a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! 🎄🥂
OH Canada eh! How fun for fellow Canadians and I to see this in Bordeaux! You guys rocked the creative additions to your village. It will be so fun to think of what you want to add. All of the chateau friends are so creative, just up my alley as I love being creative as well.
Hello from PEI Canada. At the Quebec stall, did they sell Map O Spread? The figurines and models reminded moi of the Christmas corner window display at the old Simpson store at Queen and Yonge Streets
This looks absolutely amazing, you should be very proud of yourself to have created this beautiful Christmas story. Have a wonderful happy and relaxing Christmas 🎄🕯️✨
In my area of the states, the stalls sell- printed tumblers, knit dishcloths, wooden cutting boards, a lot of easy-to-make jewelry, soaps, candles, and generally stuff you can get in any shop. It's not satisfying to go to them.
16:51 I build villages for Christmas love your little display, I sure enjoy making all my accessories fun to watch you guys giving your best well done🎉
I really enjoyed the craft scenes in this episode! Great job you two! I'm going to store those awesome painting types for later! That nativity scene is too adorable! I'm with Sarah, It's just too much! Cuteness overload!
This was a great vlog! Thanks for taking those of us stuck at home along on your delightful trip. Nice creativity on the creche. [I believe, however, the baby Jesus isn't supposed to make his appearance until Christmas. ] Joyeaux Noel! 🌟
Hi Sarah. The Santon that has his arms in the air is called Le Ravi (literally the Ravenous one, but more closely translated to English the Joyous one) He is excited about the baby Jesus and is proclaiming to the villagers that Jesus is on his way. I spent two years in Provence at University 1994-96
Just a pleasure to to see you both so happy and always so excited for all things! Thank you for sharing your charming life and bringing us the magic in your home and other lovely places! Merry Christmas from Vancouver Washington USA:)
Yes love the twigs and paper mache❤ well done on the clay wall and creche. Oh you can make a twig bed for babyJesus❤ what a great team. I'm new to your channel.
A great vlog , thank you . I am not able to travel now , cannot walk very well , I am 82 and I so enjoy seeing all the different places you go etc . I wish you a very Happy Christmas xxx
Wow, your miniature village is great. I made a very similar well for mine a couple of years ago, and created building interiors with shoebox-sized boxes. It was a great pandemic project. My painting isn't nearly as good - I sure could have used that little tutorial! I like that my Italian villagers are stationary, and I like that Santons are proceeding to the manger with gifts.
First vlog I’ve seen of just you two. Usually there is a group of folks. I enjoyed it & seeing the beautiful shops. The crafting was fun. Wishing you a Merry Christmas! Cheers from Alabama! Linda
Hi Sarah and Steve, I really like the handmade structures that you made for all the “people”. You both are so talented in so many areas!!! Merry Christmas to you both!! Elizabeth Goodrich, Texas
Your newly redecorated cafe room looks so rich…so chateau! And I love the Santons. If I ever get back to France I’m going to look for some to make a home in Southern California!
You both did an awesome job. You are both very talented. It was so nice to watch. A very professional looking DIY. The creche looks beautiful. I grew up where my mom would set up a creche under the tree. It was a lot of work.
Loved seeing your village scene come together so beautifully, I had to order some for myself in Australia. I will look forward to moulding houses etc with my grandchildren and collecting more over the years. Merry Christmas to you both
Oh wow! Fabulous Christmas scene. You are so clever at creating whatever is needed! And Sarah, I felt with you when you remembered your dad. Much love to you both for a blessed Christmas! ❤
Love your vlogs! How fun to make your own little village!😊. It turned out really nice! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!🎉. And I hope that you get a lot more subscribers because you are so lovely! 🤗
Such creative Makers! Thanks for sharing those ideas on making the scenes rather than buying them. They’re way too expensive normally and yours look authentic and chic. Love!!!
I love those black and red checked coats. Reminds me of the many summers we spent in Temagami, ON. I was curious if you learned French in Canada and speak it with a Québecois accent. Every time you show the dining room I feel lighter. You could offer a SAD treatment there! 😄 Merry Christmas from Michigan (aka almost Canada)!
Thanks for sharing the market walk with us...LOVE what you made n' the town you made turned so amazing...GREAT job guys LOVE from Chicago "Merry Christmas" 🎄

I love the idea of the mirror for the pond... I might carry that forward to next year!
Cool! It's fun to have ice skaters on the frozen pond. I've used a couple dancing as skaters. It looks like they're skating a waltz!@@ManorandMaker

The village is adorable! It’ll b fun to add pieces and structures to it!
Your wallpaper turned out beautiful. I really like the darker green trim. Merry a Christmas you.
You two are so adorable. And you pronounce poutine correctly!🇨🇦
It's a tricky one... but we do hear the *other* pronunciation used here regularly as a very light curse word...
@@ManorandMaker zut alors!
