Hi Jen, thank you for showing us Sydnie's quality of training to produce this new cover which is so so good, too: your pauses are so interesting, they're worth it. This is almost the favourite of Sydnie's songs: a majestic step to find her way to the final, too, so rivhly deserved, but the other two songs each have their own, superb qualities too. They'll all be on her first album, indeed, too.
In terms of building the tension, and taking them in order of jaw dropping wonder, your order was spot on. Now, there's her single of Starlight Express...
Wonderful reaction and analysis. Sydnie makes you feel the emotion in her performances, and I too noticed the eye contact she effective used to engage the audience. I was glad you noticed it as well. BGT as well as AGT always go to great lengths in showcasing their exceptionally talented contestants. Thanks again for your exceptional analysis as I never feel upset with all the pauses because I know I am going to learn something.
I wish Sidney the best and that she remains humble. She has a God given talent but has obviously listened and worked hard to develop these skills. Everything is timing and everyone loves her. Can’t stop viewing/listening. Good Karma ❤️
Great reaction, Jen. I am one of those who prefer this song of the 3, so you did the reactions in exactly the right order in my musically uneducated book.
Triple wow!!! I love the way she pronounced the word "truly" ("... she truly feels." It's like she borrowed the vocabulary of the great songstress Keely Smith for that brief moment.
Sidnie has released starlight express from Andrew Lloyd webbers show with his permission also she has released the official music video of my way from a studio version also released a lyric music video of over the rainbow

Thank you, Jen, for your compelling and precise analysis, delivered, as usual, with enthusiasm, poise and professionalism. May the sun shine eternally bright upon your beautiful soul, my friend.
@@GaryDouglas-lj5bz Really? Shirley is definitely one of my alltime fave singers but to me ..prior to this cover by Sydnie...this was Frank's song all the way
@@reddragonready Different strokes for different folks. I was essentially comparing Sydnie's version to other female vocalists, not to Frank or other male singers. I love most versions of this song, male or female-----with the clear exception of Miley Cyrus' whose performance of it is a detestable desecration.
@@GaryDouglas-lj5bz No offence intended..tastes differ indeed. Just saying..mine does from yours. As for male v female. I think this song was made famous mostly by Frank and to me that seems he set the standard all other covers will be compared to as to how well they sing the song and relay it's message.I dare say when Shirley sang it Frank's rendition is what she was most "up against". I feel it's fine to compare Sydnie to Frank. But again, I agree, tastes differ. 🙂 I had no idea Miley covered this song as well. As a bit of a fan of her..I will have to look for that one. "detestable desecration" are some pretty strong words..words I prefer to save for Beyonce's treatment of Dolly's Jolene. ps just heard Celine's cover of My Way...that one, to me, is also, right up there with the very best.
This type of performances and such a great talent as Sydnie's give me chills, so positive... Precisely because we are dealing with an uncut diamond. Such a talent that, if successful, will take her to the top. I just hope that I won't fall into the abyss of this ubiquitous music crap that surrounds us everywhere today, from TV to the Internet and all the crap social media.

She is the perfect blend of Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, Judy Garland + Liza Minnelli, Celine Dion with a touch of Amy Winehouse = Sydnie Christmas.* She is not just a star, she is perfectly aligned. * Bravo!!!
I don't know if I have a favorite of the three performances. Each one has its special moments. However, I do know that you have done an excellent job of reacting to and especially analyzing Sydnie's performances on BGT. I had to laugh when you mentioned the camera capturing her soft palette because I KNEW you were going to mention that. ☺
Very much enjoyed this reaction. ( Why do I feel you and Sydnie would get along great?) Anyway..this was a fun watch and I personally could not really pick a clear favorite among the 3 performances. This one does have an extremely satisfying final note but each performance was different and all incredibly impressive. Hoping to see lots more of Sydnie and consequently of your reactions.
Her first CD is coming out. The only thing I know is her Three songs, Tomorrow, 'My Way and Over The Rainbow', will be on it. Andrew Lloyd Webber asked her to sing one of his songs.
@@reddragonready She is singing a title song from the Express play she was in. She teased a little 1 minute clip on you tube with her boyfriend playing the piano, sounded GOOD. Sydnie I think can make any song sound good, shes that talented. Look what she did with a worn out song like Tommorrow that Simon HATES 🤯 That's what I mean 😏
I love your reactions, Jenn! You give me so much insight! Shirley Bassey is who I hear in Sydnie's performance this time. Brassy, powerful, bright, filling the hall and the audience. It makes me think the Bond movie producers should sign her up to sing every future theme song. Bring back the golden age feelings of Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever.
I have heard Sydnie sing My Way over 100 times already, mainly from SUPURB reactions like yours 😍. Sydnie is AMAZING, SUPERSTAR who I think could give Adele a run for her $$$ someday.
Hey Jen. Another nice reaction video. I'm hard pressed to choose between Sydnie's three performances. All three are awesome. I would love to see what she would do with the Taylor Dayne song "Love Will Lead You Back". Taylor has those clean powerful belts like Sydnie. Have a good one. Jack

She IS NOT singing my highway. Her run went a little farther than she planes and there was a slight break. The lyrics are MY WAY. Not My highway. So many vocal coaches get this wrong.
LOL this is a case of "one ghostrider? I see dozens!" Sydnie very clearly makes a point about that "h" of the first "highway"and does so again at that "h" of the second "highway". Look at her face when she does so. Possibly it's not "so many vocal coaches"but you who is wrong here?
No, you’re not there to constantly pause it, you could easily listen to the song and then give your opinion and, errr, analysis. You make the mistake of believing that people aren’t really annoyed by the constant stopping and that they care about all the crap!

Simply put, that is the Best singing performance I have ever heard (I'm 81 and I've heard a few). Absolutely STUNNING!
Sydnie doesn't sing a song - she becomes the song and the song becomes her. They become one unit. That's why her performances feel so personal.
