I know i said i would post this next week, but i couldn't wait any longer!! 🙂You can watch my previous reactions to Sydnie's performances here... My Way: ruclips.net/video/e13rYFMjqMQ/видео.html Over The Rainbow: ruclips.net/video/P3ty5znlUXA/видео.html
You noticed the song Somewhere Over The Rainbow end of the audition & she ends up singing it. That was Loren Allred's cover. Sydnie didn't want to sing it because she loves Loren & her rendition...but Loren video messaged her to go do it
When I heard your first Reaction Analysis to Sydnie Christmas' singer's rendition and delivery of "My Way", I immediately subscribed to your Channel and started listening to all 3 of of your analysis of her Songs & singing and what makes her so well loved and appreciated as a Singer musician artist. Your professional perspectives and perception in describing of singers melodic choices in delivery has taught me things about little tricks of the musician trade I didn't know about. Sydnie apparently had a BGT Singing Coach helping her improve and getting it together for a triumphant win well deserved. Sydnie could really benefit from hearing and watching your reactions & analysis of her singing talents. There's a good chance she would benefit even more from Singing Vocal Coaching from you Nina. Thankyou for you Perspectives on Singer Song writer's I'd love to see more of you videos. Kind Regards Stephen Tsikleas
I have gone over the rainbow for Sydnie. I'm 77 and have lived in Manhattan for 55 years. I was an entertainment writer and magazine editor, a theater critic and columnist, a television personality and have seen hundreds of Broadway shows beginning in the 60's when i was a teenager and would visit New York with my Nan every summer for a week. There were only a couple of times in all these years that I have been this excited over such an immense talent: when I saw Barbra Streisand (Who I already worshiped) in Funny GIrl on Broadway and the first time I saw and heard the divine Kelly O'Hara, which was in Light in the Piazza. That's pretty lofty company. I have listened to these three performances too any times, and never get tired of them. I loved watching your excellent analysis and critique and will subscribe. I understand the difficulty and heartbreak in chasing this particular dream. It's why I came to New York. But I didn't have the patience and certainly not this level of talent (especially singing) . Luckily, found I had a much better aptitude for writing.and have had an exciting and fulfilling career. I will be following Sydnie's career with great enthusiasm. She is a shooting star.
She moved us away from the kid version and transformed it into a grown up version! She made this story HER story! Then MY WAY -then RAINBOW. It really is telling the story she is hoping to live and now is! Bravo Sydnie!
That was exactly how I saw it. It seemed as if Sydnie was writing her autobiography with every song choice. But, she is also a genius. Look at her wardrobe. The first song, "Tomorrow" she dressed down, seemingly to match the attire of an orphan. With "My Way" her dress and demeanor were that of a Broadway superstar. And finally, with "Over the Rainbow" she was dressed in an angelic white wardrobe. She get's into her parts. And I absolutely love her, with her personality and especially with that golden throat. From here on everything she sings will turn into money. She has the Midas voice.
@@tomhollandinc Hi tom, You know, just sayin... they picked the songs for her...she had 3 days to learn My Way. And 'they' dress her...she is also given a Vocal Coach for those last 2 songs. She learned WELL in her Theater Classes!! I want MORE of Sydnie!! She IS the whole package! "Oh my God."
What's crazy is, if you told me I had to listen to an amateur sing My Way, Over the Rainbow, and Tomorrow, I would have run away screaming. But then I heard Sydnie Christmas. Unbelievable talent. She just draws you in and makes you forget that you're watching someone do a cover song. Her ability to make it personal and emotional for each of these songs is just outstanding. Best new singing talent I've ever heard. Generational talent, for sure.
I love how she pulled us into her heart and gave us hope for tomorrow. Being paralyzed from a horrible accident 2 years ago I need hope and she made me feel like I have it tomorrow
Like many, many, many others, I’ve watched all three of Ms. Christmas’s three performances so many, many times, I say to myself, enough is enough, I’ve got to move on to other things. Then a watch a new very appreciative reaction, then I’m back to watching her performances all over and over again. As I have said, in my other comments, not only can you ‘hear’ her sing, you can really ‘feel’ her sing. The planets have aligned and I’m so glad that I was able to watch Sydnie put on that glass-slipper, and it fits her exceptionally well.
All of Sydnie’s performances - for me, nonpareil - have utterly mesmerised me, and each time I watch and listen I am transfixed and transported. The girl has about her a certain something - an irresistible charm - that for me defies precise definition but is supremely and delightfully entrancing. Each time I watch and listen my senses quickly become overwhelmed, causing warm tears to brim my eyes and thrilling tingles to pass in waves along my body. I keep watching and listening - I am unable to stop myself. Should I seek help - some form of therapy? Or is this Heaven?
I feel emotional everytime I watch her audition. It was such a special moment in everyway. She's one of a kind. Huge talent and light. Can't wait to hear more of her!
It shows time after time that formal vocal training which includes the understanding of musical structure, makes for a vocalist whose voice lasts forever.
In an interview on This Morning with Cat Deely Sydnie said she didn't want to sing Over the Rainbow because she is a huge fan of Loren Allred, but Loren sent her video and convinced her to do it! Syd also said she only had 3 days to put together that final performance and that she got great help from BGT and her vocal coach on the show, Annabelle Williams! Cat and the host did a great job on the interview!
I love how you say “Come on, Sydnie” at the start of the final verse. There is something about her personality and presence that just makes her so easy to cheer for. She brings you into her world and tells you an entire story in just a couple of minutes.
I’m so glad you played Sydnie’s audition of “Tomorrow”. That audition show cased her personality (as I believe you may have said). I play all 3 of her songs over and over again. You give great reactions. Did you know she put out a music video called “STARLIGHT EXPRESS”? I think everyone would enjoy it ! Thanks, Martin B. (United States of America). 🎶🎵
You can never predict when (if ever) the stars will come into perfect alignment. Had she not decided to audition for that show at that particular time, and have the perfect audience in attendance for that particular show, then we most likely would have never heard her.
Told you that you would love her audition. She is the best singer I have ever heard. There are voices that are as good….Whitney. Lauren. Celine. But when Sydnie sings. You get emotional. There is something about her and what she ejects vocally that makes you feel overwhelmed. Heavenly and how perfect is that with a last name of Christmas ❤️
My sentiments exactly. She was prepared and brilliant in every way but thee was something reaching and hoping and very knowing but hopeful in this performance. I can't stop watching it and am moved and thrilled every time I watch it. She is a rare and precious gem.
Public can be so horrible sometimes but i think Sydnie is great and was deserved to do well ... Love watching your Videos Nina, i like how you expmain things 👍
I can't stop listening to Sydnie sing, and every time i listen to this audition it causes the same reaction, an overwhelming sense of someone who has kept chasing that dream even when life isn't going as planned and you keep getting knocked back " I just stick out my chin and grin" almost saying come on life give it your best shot because you will not knock me down ! and yes she has had stage time before on cruise ships and small stage shows in germany and one other but that's what you do when you are a singer chasing your dream, you work where ever you can. I think that's what she meant when she said "i felt heard" everyone in that theater was listening to every one of her words, not feeling like she was there just to pass the time between buffet meals and cocktails like background music to peoples conversation. i really hope her dreams come true "let's 'ave it "
Watched your reviews of Sydnie, in your order, loved them all. I've become a big fan of Sydnie's, like a lot of us have(already bought her CD). Watched her audition at least 100 times, tear up each time. Can't wait until she tours CA or Vegas. Still waiting for her "LET"S AV IT" t-shirts to go on sale😉
A voice that's generational and a charm which brings to mind Julie Andrew. Genuine. In her acceptance she mentioned the love she felt. You get back what you put out. Subscribed to your channel. Singing seems such a simple thing. Everyone sings. You can do it in the car, in the shower, anywhere. But doing something well is never simple and doing it before thousands standing alone must be like singing in the shower then pulling the curtain back and there is Simon Cowell standing there with the audience behind him, judging you, dripping wet in your birthday suit.. Terrifying...unless you have the talent and know it. She did. Beautiful performance and amazing composure under immense pressure. One moment, her entire life on the line. Let'shave it!.... You explained the dynamics of her audition and her appeal very well. Cheers.....
I absolutely loved all of Sydnie's performances, each one left me quite emotional. I have watched them many times. I hope she goes on to be an international star. Equally enjoyed your analysis of each song Nina, you also look like a fan.
That's your best review imho. Not just the music but, the human experience. Loved your reviews since the beginning. Not to be presumptuous but, WELL DONE! ...lol. RRH
Note: I thought your ' unusual ' order of reviews on Syd actually confirmed/ tied up in a bow, if you will, your initial conclusions about her & her performances...Things work out...lol. RRH
Even with just these three performances, I would put her on the same level, as a vocal artist, as Barbra Streisand and Julie Andrews. Think about what she did to these three iconic songs, not just in singing ability but in creativity and expression. As the one judge says ... ART. And love your reviews. Nice to have a pro break it down.
Just saw an audio from Barbra Streisand. She was 13, 1955 and extremly good...I woudn t start to compare all these divine voices...whatfor? We just should be very happy to have Sydnie around now and we will all together go on that yourney with her (as she herself put it :-)) She is such an endearing and humble Beeing...remember what she said, after she won ? (well, when she could speak again, still beeing in shock)...she bathed in that high energy and wished for everybody to experience this love just one time in life too! She´s so honestly communicating with everybody and I am sure her yourney will be unique.
@@vickiwatson1801 Either you haven't listened to very much Streisand or you have very different taste than I do. I am a contemporary of Streisand and have listened to her since before she was famous. I have never heard a singer as good.
@@munci6474 Yes we are lucky to be able to experience her. I wish her a long and successful career. I have one caveat. AI is progressing so rapidly that I fear the careers of creatives will be diluted by fake creatives.
In an interview it was explained that the Nan's hadn't heard her sing this song until the audition. That was why they kept cutting away to their reactions, so they were just as amazed as the rest of the audience. Also, Sydnie said that she had worked so hard on My Way to get through the Semi's, that she only had 3 days to work out Somewhere over the Rainbow, which was chosen for her BTW by the BGT staff. She is something!!
This version was actually recorded by Marisha Wallace as a fundraiser, 4 years ago, during the Pandemic, when the theaters were all closed. Sydnie improved it by leaps and bounds. Regarding her prior experience. She was part of a cast for a couple of plays in the past. 1 in London and 1 in Germany. She also was a cruise ship performer for Royal Caribbean. So she has experience, but has never performed on The West End according to her interviews. She was an understudy before Covid closed everything. Not exactly a household name (yet). I heard shades of Judy Garland there. You heard Loren Allred’s version of Over The Rainbow play after she finished singing here, so it’s karma that she sings it in the finals
My take on any experience she may have had before is this...I know nothing of the theatre world but I sure if you went to an audition they would be asking about what you have done in the past that qualifies you to even ask for a chance at the part ...so working at minor plays and on cruise ships is how she developed a portfolio of experience...the fact she almost let the no's cause her to give up shows how tough it is to break into that scene and we are so blessed she didn't let it break her...Karl from Canada...hoping to one day see this amazing woman in person
There's still a kind of childlike charm in her personality, but her version of Tomorrow is stunningly mature. Don't mind admitting I find myself singing along from time to time.
me again and as always a suburb reaction Nina, Sydnie is truly a talent, I mean "tomorrow" even I was around that song in grade school, in middle school and my freshmen year high school I played Annie in one of our school concert I sang "tomorrow" not near like Sydnie did but everyone knows the song everyone has heard it and to me it is so heart warming to know that their are people in her life that heard her sing it at the age of 4, can you imagine "tomorrow" came for her pushed her to pick and sing "My Way" which for me she will for ever be remembered for and then of course the magic of "Some Where Over the Rain Bow" which she did not want to do until Lauren messaged her and said "yes for heavens sake do it Sydnie do it your way" truly a worthy winner no matter what the haters say thanks again Nina ... keep smiling girl!!
I enjoy and appreciate your observations and explanations of these performances, you do a great job. As far as Sydnie I think she is awesome and have listened to all performances many many times. She is the best I have heard.
Hi Nina, even watching Sydnie out of order you easily gave a stupendous analysis of her vocals. You are definitely 'Top Tier' with you're ability to communicate to us all giving us such an easy understanding of you're professional knowledge. Much thanks to you. brb
I watched your other reactions to Sydnie's other songs so I knew you would totally enjoy this video ...when this first came out I watched and as you said she draws the listener into her world and it's an amazing place to find yourself I've also lost count of how many times I've watched all three performances ...you reactions are spot on which is why I hit the subscribe button just now...thanks for sharing your time with us and hopefully we will get to see a Sydnie Christmas world tour soon...Karl from eastern Canada
Hi Nina, Ive enjoyed your professional "Vocal Coach" reaction to Sydnie Christmas' performances. Thankyou for sharing you point of experience and view points. My take on the transformation of a song originally sung by a Child written for a child in "Annie" is that Sydnie ive read in other comments here is not the first to sing that adults interpreted version of 'Tomorrow', But still i feel she put her own signiture spin and interpretation of the lyrics and made it her own building i music interpretation through the "dynamic" Mezzo piano up to a crescendo forte of volume vibrato and emotional excitement the soon Tomorrow over the rainbow she would be able to love and be loved with no depressing fallen earthy cobwebs or sorrows just perfect Son shining eternal day in a perfect Paradise that exists Now present tense and Tomorrow. If i was already eternal life is a person not just a heavenly place and if it doesn't exist for us Now and Tomorrow why was Sydnie singing about it so passionately. They played that " Somewhere Over the Rainbow track singer because they interpreted her lyric and dynamic musical interpretation. Im so happy for her that she one. In my opinion her first song she loved as a 4 year old sung on a platform BGT revisted at "20 Great" 28 years old there catapulted her Career success on that platform showcasing her Talents personalty and Musical ability and capacity like maybe no other could. And most of all with regards to transformation through interpretation of lyrics goes; Music and Melodies in Lyric songs always comes from toughts expressed into Words base own hardships experienced and the emotions expressed by the writer. So songs are like snow flakes in different singer musicians delivery and interpretation no two people are the same like Billion of snow flakes that fall from the the sky in Winter time. And i think Sydnies musical interpretation was so excellent because she took the homework task to heart and actually probably heard something in the "Tomorrow" lryics Nobody else had expressed before. She took even the new version that existed and I believe took it to a higher level. How could people who thought a song is a joke and dispised it when the Lyric words had never changed but singers heard something and listen intensely transforming it from a charming children's musical theatrical novalty despised by some, into a songs Deep Quality like "Over the Rainbow"!! Just through proper lyric interpretation and Singers professional muscianship, Artistry through inspired listening giving a song put on the shelf as a long departed musical number and giving it new tranforming life and breath out of the mouth of an Artist that actuality to took notice and heard the message in the lyrics of Tomorrow. A Well done an inspired well crafted musical delivery of a song and and its lyric Song that would've been forgotten if it wasnt for inspired singer Artists like you and Sydnie(ifvyou happen to read this comment), a Happy and Mary, Merry Christmas coming up in December 2024.😂
Nina, it's interesting that you must have perfect pitch and be a great talented musician singer song writer based on your reactions, yourself and going to the exact notes on the Keyboard she was in melodic variance interpreting that song, Tomorrow, "Her way" a "My... Way, High,,, Way."!! lol. Nina I will follow up and search for songs written and sung by you. So I hope you have your uploaded compositional songs on you tube. A good day to you. Kind regards, Stephen Tsikleas
Her rendition is fresh and new and so amazing!! She builds this dynamic of this song and draws us in, and we realize she is star. I loved this in-depth analysis of this amazing singer. Nina, I truly love watching your reactions most of all, loving this all over again through your eyes.
I've never watched vocal coach reaction videos before, but with Sydnie's songs, I find myself wanting to know if she makes other people feel those same tingly goosebumps. Your videos are awesome, it turns out! You can thank Sydnie for gaining you another subscriber!! :)
She gave it all away on this first performance. After just two bars into the song, you could feel she had the best voice. The other two performances were just the cherry on the cake.
I’m floored at the talent of Sydnie Christmas 🤯👏🏼👏🏼 WOW! But I’m just as impressed with your reviews and your channel. You’ve got a new subscriber in me! Thank you for sharing your gift, too ☺️👍🏻
Hi Nina I'm Stephen, I like your reaction analysis of artists take and Musical interpretation of lyric songs because you stop the recording and react to every notable Word and phrasing in the Singers Artistic delivery of the Song. It's like Sydnie took a gold plated or Silver cup and polished it till it Shined out of you heart and mouth.
I love what Simon did in that he gave her his standing ovation when she eventually looked at him - a very classy move on Simon's part - and you can tell how it affected Sydnie. Enjoyed all you reactions to Sydnie Christmas. I will be checking out your reactions from here on out - SUBSCRIBED.
Nina...you are so in touch with the realities that have taken place with Sydnie's performance. "The Universe intervening," indeed. Sydnie is unique among the most unique. Her time has come, call it providence, or perhaps a spiritual gift to humanity. I have lived a life, personally, in over forty four years in the emergency (medic) and investigative fields which had hardened me in many abrasive ways. I had recorded all of Sydnie's performances and watched and listened to them so many times I have lost track of the count. "Tomorrow" brought tears to my eyes so many times as Sydnie brought a rendition that spoke of hope and a longing for a more complete and rewarding life. I related so very much to this mesmerizing performance. As you mentioned, the quality that exists within Sydnie is special. Truly a life inspiring and to many a life changing expression of goodness that flowed out from Sydnie's wonderful performance. I must say that you also present those very human and very beautiful soulful characteristics. It is that rarity which exists within a person that truly gives them beauty. I suspect the following is a belief held within you as well as it is held deeply within me: "The artist's job is not to succumb to despair but to find an antidote for the emptiness of existence." You have been gifted with the ability to teach and bring out in an artist, the higher qualities in life's values. If I lived in your country, I would be honored to break some bread with you. Wine maybe? Keep on keeping on, your time is here as well it would seem.
Whatever you want to call it. Perhaps, "connection" is the word for which you were looking. Regardless of the word,, she most certainly had a connection with the audience, and the judges.
She's our UK treasure. I'm a 57 year old man and a have a massive love of the greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Billie Holliday and Nina Simone. She embodies their talents in one package. I can't get enough of her
I saw this when it was first posted. And I just cant stop listening to her. She is so inspiring!!! Love her. So glad she made it and got the top spot. So happy for her.
What got me with her was when she named the song she was going to sing. Simon’s comment to her comment and the look he gives her. Simon was watching her hard in the beginning. She was shaken by his comment and look. But, at the end, when he stands up and he smiles at her, she is somewhat relieved. However the biggest relief for her was his comments after the buzzer from Amanda. You can see the relief in her face and in her body. She is a talent that was denied opportunities that she clearly should have been given earlier. You mentioned the background music after she sings. It happens to be the same version Sydnie sings in the final and wins it all. Two of the biggest voices to come from BGT over the past several years were Sydnie and Loren Allred. Amanda gave both the Golden Buzzer. She waited for Sydnie’s, but gave Loren hers right after she finished singing. Getting the Golden Buzzer from judges is a great thing, BUT to get Simon’s full approval is the biggest compliment to their talent. Simon is fully in Sydnie’s corner now.
Just dropped in for another watch and wanted to say thanks again for this wonderful reaction. This audition is the best 10 minutes of television I think I have ever seen.
Original is only a day away she changed it and made it here she says always a day a away. Songs are Loren Allred. She sang them on bgt and is her friend.
I could watch Sydnie singing these songs over and over again, but I really enjoyed seeing your reaction (given your background) and explaining throughout the song why certain parts were so special. You are very knowledgeable and have a gorgeous voice yourself (heard it on a different video). So thank you for these videos.
I add my accolades to everyone else’s both to Sydnie and you. She avoids that (sometimes annoying) vocal flip that even Loren Allred employs at the end of many a note, and just sings! Stunning!
Yes, one just can't wait any longer before looking at Sydnie's audition, she moves you, each time: thank you for getting it in before the weekend. Your points are really, really good too, thank you so much: I subscribed to you after finding your channel thanks to Sydnie. And, yes: I'm watching your reaction again, too, you're spot on with your review. You also wondered which would be the best song at a Sydnie Christmas concert, well, for now there's this best bits together link: ruclips.net/video/9qRNdZ6G6B4/видео.htmlsi=EtepvlklwMeK5s4f A last thought, for your side thought that the background music might bring extra copyright problems for your video: a key issue, and it may be too that BGT as privileges to Loren Allred's music via their sister AGT or maybe Loren gave them permission, already. Either way, most fitting for the BGT video to play it: Sydnie is now rightly famous, too.
Periodically, when ever I need a lift, I watch your adorable Sydnie reviews...lol...I find your musical & personal insights outstanding, coupled with the obvious & that accent..lol...( i live cross the pond) Please keep up the Great work! Well Done! RRH
I honestly do have to consider Sydnie one of the best singers I've ever heard. I'm 62, was in orchestra and choir many years, have attended a few seminars by professionals, and have enjoyed so many preformed over the years. For all that, i can think of only a small number of singers to compare her to.
Try watching and commenting on Emma Kok singing Voila at the Andre Rieu concert you will be amazed. As to Sydnie I agree with the comment from myscott Sydnies song choice did tell her own story, I have watched all performances everal times and each time I an old 74 yr old have been in tears hope she gets a good agent to get her to the west end.
Knew you'd love this. How could you not? As you say, (years of) preparation meets (the right) opportunity, and Boom!, a career finally begins. As always Nina, watching any perfomance with you adds so much to my enjoyment, and to my growing appreciation of the musical techniques you so eloquently (and charmingly) explain. Thank you, I'm loving it! 🙂
I was just listening really carefully at them playing over the rainbow at the end, and that was her version. So this was all done before the shows were aired I believe.
Ninaaaaa! Thanks for another great review. You're absolutely right about her taking us on that journey. How interesting that the beautifully honest speaking accent can transform like that. Goose bumps at 25%, two tears and one tissue. Maybe the insert frame could be slightly less distorted? Take care though, don't want to lose you.
Thank you so much for watching! I tried about 7 different slightly less distorted versions but unfortunately this was the only one RUclips allowed - apologies, usually I try and keep the original visuals in but I think BGT is very strict with re- use 🙏🏻
@@ninaschofield Yes, best to avoid trouble with the YT police. I can go to the original clip too. So don't worry about it. I'd still watch anyway. A picture tells a thousand words and music tells a thousand pictures.
I believe Sydnie considered herself a failure at musical theater, West End, and that BGT was her last ditch effort to give her some sort of singing career. What BGT revealed so clearly is that she was always "being" in character as someone else in theatrical singing; here, she was her incredible self, destined for the concert stage, a la Celine Dion. Note that all of her songs were modified to fit her original dire situation, a "Tomorrow" she reworked from optimism to pessimism, a defiant "My Way" and an "Over the Rainbow" that appeared faded away for her. Just a brilliant appearance on so many levels.
When you listen to the arch of all three songs you realize how intensely personal she makes them. We feel her struggle to be recognized. I don’t think thats going to be an issue anymore!
How about this Audition dressed in rags rejected Song tomorrow Semi final Better dressed did Audition My way Simon's most hated Song Final Fantastically dressed Over the rainbow golden buzzer (playing as getting) Tomorrow finally arived
That hits me in the feels totally has me in tears every time. I get emotional; when someone has their break and they are this good. I hope she gets an album deal before she gets her break in the West End.
I get Simon's reluctance to this song. When others cover this song, they sing it like they're auditioning for the musical. TA-morrow ... I love YA, TA-morrow ... yikes ... and Sydnie sang thes ong like someone who's been chasing a dream ... she sings with honesty and conviction. She ramped it up 100x for My Way ...
When you listen carefully to Sydnie's performance of "Over the Rainbow" in the Final, you will realise that the producers of BGT have 'dubbed' her version in this audition (when she had finished). It is really her voice that you hear (100% !) Go checking by hearing it again: in the Final and then here in this Audition.
I really enjoyed your overall critique and enthusiasm for Sydnie's performance. How can I learn more about your vocal lessons? I'm interested in improving my singing. I'm a jazz singer and jazz French horn player. Thanks, Jeff
I loved my choir teacher and your passion and ability to hear and then play the note reminds me of her. You are very talented with quite the musical ear. Glad RUclips suggested you and happy to sub. Yes, wonderful!
I've heard this Sydnie's performance over 30 times and still getting goosebumps. Amazing
I feel the same exact way, my wife thinks I’m obsessed
@@balaudermanIt is an obsession - but a magnificent one. 😄
Heaven. Let go and heal.
@@candicenjuduberryhhkm9420Thank you. I am touched by your concern. ❤️
So very well said!!!
I feel emotional everytime I watch her audition. It was such a special moment in everyway. She's one of a kind. Huge talent and light. Can't wait to hear more of her!
I drive my family insane because I haven't stopped whistling this version since I first heard it....she was born to be in the West End/Broadway!!
Every tune I hear her sing I get goose bumps. She is amazing!!
I love how you say “Come on, Sydnie” at the start of the final verse. There is something about her personality and presence that just makes her so easy to cheer for. She brings you into her world and tells you an entire story in just a couple of minutes.
She is just something special.
I love her personality! Her voice is amazing!
I’m so glad I found your channel! I’m following Sydnie from Texas 🇺🇸 USA. She’s awesome! So are you!!
So happy to have you here! Yes indeed Sydnie is wonderful isn’t she 🥰
Also from Texas! And also found this channel because of Sydnie!
This was by far my favorite performance of hers, both the performance itself and her pre-performance personality.
It was a lifechanging magical moment for her and the audience.
+1
My sentiments exactly. She was prepared and brilliant in every way but thee was something reaching and hoping and very knowing but hopeful in this performance. I can't stop watching it and am moved and thrilled every time I watch it. She is a rare and precious gem.
@@spwchief Yes, I don't know what the future holds for her. But this was a bright and shining moment that we were all lucky to witness.
@@erich7558 ...the whole world will be in awe soon...just like us...:-)
Hope they release this version. Damn didn't expect that kind of power in her voice. Masterpiece.
Public can be so horrible sometimes but i think Sydnie is great and was deserved to do well ... Love watching your Videos Nina, i like how you expmain things 👍
Can’t help but to smile each time you hear her sing. Lovveeeeee her!
Not to be presumptuous but, WELL DONE! ...lol. RRH
Aw thank you so much! I really enjoyed making this one - I’m so glad you enjoyed watching it too 🙏🏻
Note: I thought your ' unusual ' order of reviews on Syd actually confirmed/ tied up in a bow, if you will, your initial conclusions about her & her performances...Things work out...lol.
I am sorry but comparing her to Streisand is a losing battle. She is very good, but she is no Streisand.
@@erich7558I think she's better than Streisand. All opinions.
Yes, Sydnie gave her credit in an interview, but Sydnie added some of her own twists!
Thank you so much for your comment and for watching and enjoying Sydnie’s performance with me ☺️
I enjoy and appreciate your observations and explanations of these performances, you do a great job.

Thank you so much Karl! Yes fingers crossed for a tour 🤞🏻
Hi Nina, Ive enjoyed your professional "Vocal Coach" reaction to Sydnie Christmas' performances. Thankyou for sharing you point of experience and view points.
My take on the transformation of a song originally sung by a Child written for a child in "Annie" is that Sydnie ive read in other comments here is not the first to sing that adults interpreted version of 'Tomorrow',
But still i feel she put her own signiture spin and interpretation of the lyrics and made it her own building i music interpretation through the "dynamic"
Mezzo piano up to a crescendo forte of volume vibrato and emotional excitement the soon Tomorrow over the rainbow she would be able to love and be loved with no depressing fallen earthy cobwebs or sorrows just perfect Son shining eternal day in a perfect Paradise that exists Now present tense and Tomorrow.
And i think Sydnies musical interpretation was so excellent because she took the homework task to heart and actually probably heard something in the "Tomorrow" lryics
Nobody else had expressed before.
Thank you so much for watching! I love what you said about songs being like snowflakes ❄️ 🥰
Kind regards,
Stephen Tsikleas
Her rendition is fresh and new and so amazing!! She builds this dynamic of this song and draws us in, and we realize she is star. I loved this in-depth analysis of this amazing singer. Nina, I truly love watching your reactions most of all, loving this all over again through your eyes.

Thank you for sharing your gift, too ☺️👍🏻
I love how she's joking and then suddenly becomes focused. It reminds me of The Legend of Bagger Vance when Bobby Jones goes into "the field".
I’m so pleased you enjoyed it, and what a lovely analogy! ❤
She pulls you in. Gorgeous, emotional.

Sydney is one of those individuals who are instantly likeable. Wonderful reaction young lady!
Thank you so much for watching!
Love Loren Alled’s “Over the Rainbow” in the background. Sydnie crushed her audition. She made a lot of lifelong fans.
She just blew your mind i get it how we move forward and enbrace this talent i dind know
..
The song at the end that is played of over the rainbow is sung by Loren Alred.
You do an excellent analysis! I just subscribed to your channel. Sydnie is absolutely amazing!
Thank you!
I love Sydnie. She's just incredible. And you have a new subscriber. :D
Thank you so much!
I’ve watched your analysis of her songs so many times now. You are delightful and a wonderful teacher, and she is just amazing. Can’t get enough. ❤
Sydnie doesn't 'sing' a song - she becomes the song and song becomes her. They are in total unison. That's why it feels so intimate and personal.
I never liked tomorrow till I heard Sydnie Christmas. Now I play Tomorrow, everyday.
And you will probably play Tomorrow tomorrow.
Thanks!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Why do I find the little skips in Sydnie’s gait as she approaches the mike and as she departs the stage so charming, so endearing - am I in love? 😉😀
Hi, I am a Sydnie Reaction junkie now. :) Nina, you are SO good! And a joy yourself! One of my favorites now. xo :)
Just want to say the quality of your analysis & sincerity is refreshing and sets you apart. Look forward to your reactions!!

Beautiful reaction of a beautiful preformance ❤
I could watch Sydnie singing these songs over and over again, but I really enjoyed seeing your reaction (given your background) and explaining throughout the song why certain parts were so special. You are very knowledgeable and have a gorgeous voice yourself (heard it on a different video). So thank you for these videos.
What an amazing singer Sidney is!!! New to your channel and LOVE it!!!
Your insights and personality are as delightful as Sydnie's, albeit in a different arena. Good for you. Let's have it!

Love your reaction to the song given us a great breakdown of each part of the song on a great singer that is Sydnie.please keep up the great wok.
A last thought, for your side thought that the background music might bring extra copyright problems for your video: a key issue, and it may be too that BGT as privileges to Loren Allred's music via their sister AGT or maybe Loren gave them permission, already.
Either way, most fitting for the BGT video to play it: Sydnie is now rightly famous, too.

Great critique, she’s beyond amazing
Knew you'd love this. How could you not? As you say, (years of) preparation meets (the right) opportunity, and Boom!, a career finally begins. As always Nina, watching any perfomance with you adds so much to my enjoyment, and to my growing appreciation of the musical techniques you so eloquently (and charmingly) explain. Thank you, I'm loving it! 🙂
Loved this rendention. Beautiful control of her voice. I think a voice coach like
You, could help her with how she takes her breaths
I was just listening really carefully at them playing over the rainbow at the end, and that was her version. So this was all done before the shows were aired I believe.
That was Loren Allred's version.
Awesome performance!😎✔️🎉
Nina, You are so beautiful as Margo Robbie. What a dear you are!
Aw thank you so much!
*Guess you had no choice but to go to the start haha....because she is amazing. Loved the part her shock reaction when the buzzer boom went off*
So beautiful❤good reaction as always❤
Your Smile, how gorgeous it is, tells the story.
When you listen to the arch of all three songs you realize how intensely personal she makes them. We feel her struggle to be recognized. I don’t think thats going to be an issue anymore!
How about this

It was amazing! Absolutly beautiful. One song you alsof have to listen to is the home isolation version of bohemian rhapsody by Og3ne
She is beyond Streisan, Houston et al. Miss Christmas is in a class of her own.
Great reaction for all of Sydnie’s performances and I look forward to watching many other of your videos. Cheers from the U.S. 💙
