  • Another first on the channel, this ink from the new line of inks in Rohrer & Klingner's collection is a nanopigment ink designed to offer great resistance to water, light, etc. This one is just the kind of odd color that I'm a fan of. Neither grey nor brown nor green, Lilly is an impressive ink.
    Sample sent for review from Anderson Pens. Find this ink here:

    I have the Thea which is a similarly hard colour to define (Brown or grey?) and it is great to sketch with. As it is waterproof this allows adding watercolours to your sketch and best of all if (like me) you happen to be sketching in a pub an odd drop of ale doesn't ruin your efforts. 😀

      I just inked up the orange one (Carmen), and it's a little pale for my tastes. I'm looking forward to trying out the rest, though.

      Mike Matteson I think they may all be a little pale as they are for sketching where you're most likely to be putting down several lines at least rather than writing when of course you just put down one. But I have the orange one too and it's not bright.

    How does it compare in colour to Sailor Rikyu-Cha? It does remind me of the tones in RO Motor Oil.

      Rikyu-Cha is much more yellow-brown than this one. I'd like to try out Motor Oil.

      I really think you'll like Motor Oil. We have a similar taste in these sorts of colours... and it's a good ink

    I have the black nanopigment ink from Rohrer und Klingner and that one dries on the EF nib of my Pilot Penmanship. I'll try it on a Pilot fine nib and hope it behaves like this one in your kakuno.

      Good luck, and let me know how it goes. Sometimes an ink and a pen just don't get along all that well.

      @@inkdependence oh I mean your fav pigments all together. I do love pigmented inks with shading! Wish there were sheening ones, maybe then it'd not smudge

    It’s a brown gray or gray brown. Sepia? I have a bottle and I like it a lot for sketching.

    Have you tried Noodler's El Lawernce?

      I have, but it's been several years since I tried it last.

      Aaron Flanagan i loved the color of El Lawrence but found it too feather prone to stick with. Had the same problem with Noodler’s Whaleman’s Sepia

    Where do you get the rings that you use to put those little ink swaps on the cap of the vial?

    • @inkdependence
      @inkdependence  6 лет назад

      They're just hole reinforcements that you'd use for binders or whatever. You should be able to find them in any office supply goods section of a store. I probably got these at Target.

    I like the color and the permanence is impressive. But at the present I'm not really comfortable with nanoparticles in general. I've read that PTFE was found in animals in Antarctica, so I assume it's just a matter of time for this new product to permeate our planet.
