28:10 - the very first time David pronounces it as 'mustash' as opposed to 'moostosh'. This was the beginning of the end for Crimewatch. It would never quite capture its full glory again. Note also that Jacqui debuts a new hairstyle at the same time. It was like she knew.

Despite the tragedy of Lesley Molseed's murder, I couldn't help but be amused at the witness who deadpanned "We fell out at the youth club on Friday over a maxi dress.". Just shows how the best clues are often red herrings-at both murders young men were seen running at pace, but either they were involved in lesser crimes, or were just late for something as they had nothing to do with either murder-which were both carried out by the same man-a 48 year old.

There were plenty of red flags or warning signs about Castree. He fitted the description, he was arrested in July 1976 for a sex attack and fined 25 pounds. Kiszko couldn't climb up a hill like that due to an ankle injury and being hugely overweight even then. Witnesses said they'd seen him that day and around the time the murder was carried out. Kiszko had no criminal convictions before. It's unbelievable he was convicted.

I think Stefan Kiszko was picked on because he looked odd and was educationally sub-normal. Of course in reality someone like him would have been very unlikely to get away with any type of crime because he wouldn't have had the intelligence to plan it all out properly. Amazing how the police used to be taken in by that sort of simplistic thinking back then. They made a similar mistake with Barry George.

I hate them, one of my old school friends had a police officer for a father. He was known to beat people up off duty and always bought stolen items off the lads that done burglaries and other shit. Today that prick is an inspector and god knows what he gets away with. A large number are good im sure, but the fact the police who sent a man to jail for 16 years, resulting in his death less than 2 after he was released is disgusting!!! ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING that they didn't even come on crimewatch to apologies. NO ONE DID!!!!!. They just moved on to a new appeal without even offering any support, yet they were always quick enough to jump on the program begging for help doing their job when they couldn't cope. Was Terrence Hammond a part of a robbery? He had a twin brother named Jimmy Hammond, they used to attended Rokeby Comprehensive School Stratford. Terrence is now the owner of T J Hammond Transport Ltd. A racist back in the days apparently, hated black and Asians, but was very much a wimp! My friend’s dad knew him well.

When my father was lesleys age he used to cycle across the south downs. That was in 1920s.
