I just ordered the SRBS 762 titanium, I sure can’t wait
I just purchased a 5.56 velos. I was thinking about doing the velos 5.56k as it was in stock first but i waited for the full size. I am switching my 5.56 rifles to dedicated 5.56 can, which i was running a sf socom 7.62 mini on. Changing muzzle devices from sf to charlie is what it is at this point, i can throw those sf devices on something else as they are still good muzzle breaks.
Could you please measure the weight of the SRBS compact WITHOUT the hub? Thank you!
@jigglyjames29 SF hubs weigh 4.9oz bringing the Srbs C Print X to 12.8oz with hub removed.
If you can find the OG Models for 2024 (non Print X) those are about 2.5oz lighter than that. B&T claims the Print X models are 4-8db quieter than the OG 2024 (slick side) models. But I have yet to confirm an original vs a Print X of the same model personally.
I will say, the notches in the Print X are a nice touch, if you happen to treat your hub threads as a jungle, and rocksett as napalm, the new Print X notches provide more grip.
I'd love to see them make a hybrid with the Print X wrench notches, reinforced end cap, and then slab the side of the pattern they have. To make a better balance of reinforcement, performance, and weight.
Not that the Print X is heavy. But if they stripped off some of that pattern from the tube, they could probably save 1.5 Oz or so. Which seems to be pretty significant in the US market.

Sounds like I should give the Print-XH RBS Full Size a look as I'd remove the surefire and run direct thread to save weight and length. I was looking at the RBS MAX 556 TI FULL SIZE as I don't mind the diameter, but it looks like it is discontinued.
@VbdRetail awesome video. I'm super interested in the B&T cans they look great! How much length does the hub surefire add to the can? Seems like you could shorten the package by taking it off for a direct thread. Also it kinda seems like the rotex mini K is "low back pressure" can, super important for my left handedness. Thanks keep it up!
Appreciate the video, been eyeing the SRBS compact since it was announced. What is the length of the SRBS without the surefire mount though? I can't find the length of the suppressor itself on any website. Thanks!
@@martinperez4377 the SF Hub adds 1.5" of length to the overall length of the suppressor. It is 6 ⅝" without the SF Hub attached.

@@rahealharisshabbir B&T has something like over 600 silencer SKU’s.
@rahealharisshabbir flash we have to get out and test on multiple lengths and ammo. The issue with flash is just that. And the Velos being non hub, makes it a pain. Tests aren't valid unless we use everything on the EXACT same gun. Swapping muzzle devices at night, in the field, sucks.
As for POI shift. That is going to change per barrel on any gun. With these all being the same weight, it's going to be moot.
You're hanging a weight off a free floated barrel. Your POI is going to change based off that. Rule of thumb is "Don't worry about it". Zero with the suppressor. Shoot it.
If you're taking it on and off, you also aren't shooting precision (precision is all about repeatability, not changing things up).
Shift on a 10.3 could be something like a half inch. And an 18" pencil barrel could be 2-6"
The POI shift metric just doesn't make much sense. Unless you have a completely identical setup. And then for some reason, taking suppressors on and off and still trying to thread the needle on shots.

First thanks for putting this comparison out. Next the Charlie mount is stronger than HUB and it can still use Rearden Keymo mounts. Also the WHOLE center section of the Velos is 3D printed from inconel with the front and back of the can being 17-4 stainless. Now on to using Surefire mounts, bro they flat out leak. Why bother unless you have a bunch of pin &weld uppers with SF mounts.

@@ethankerber1873 Eh not really I am familiar with the specs on the Charlie system and the construction of the Velos. Just prefer that people have the right information as a SILENCER fan in general. Of the cans in the video I’d probably be more likely to go with either the B&T or the FOR Recce. But the last thing I would do would be spend a bunch of money on a SF style back end or mounts. Carbon locking and leaking are not part of the features I’m looking for in a mounting system.
@juanthelawnmowerthief1641 I don't think strength of hub has ever been an issue. So that point seems moot.
As for SF mounts, I personally run A2's. But we have a ton of mounts and hubs, making it an easy and equal comparison (aside from Sico not using hub in 2024, which is very lame).
We offer to remove the Hub upon request ig someone doesn't want it. But at the end of the day, for the price and demand of sf mounts, you can get one, sell off the mount, and be left with a B&T product around the same cost as an OCL Polo (which comes with a DT mount most folks throw away).
As for the Carbon locking. The B&T mount has a better lockup, and IF you neglect the mount long enough for it to lock up, you can still unlock the collar and just yank it off. Unlike the SF design which often strips it's own locking mechanism, since it's all inside of the collar rather than external.

For all the $$ on that gun (and being 11lbs...) It shouldn't jump so much with a suppressor on it.
@Gnolomweb that's a Colt scw. Completely different set up.
Any of the B&T 5.56 line capable of firing 6mm like the FOR or do you need to upsize to the 7.62?
@@LT153-1 it is not recommended. The factory won't repair it if you let them know you did it and messed up. But I do know the Mk12 suppressor had just enough clearance for 6mm.
I would suggest taking it to a very competent gunsmith first
The Rotex looked like it had less gas than the RC3.
@jackbauer4186 honestly. Folks would think this review would be crazy. But the Rotex Mini K VS the Rc3 would be a solid comparison. They're kind of Neck and Neck when it comes to sound.
Gas wise, while the Mini had Less gas coming back at you, it was a higher velocity. Where as the Rc3 had more gas coming back, but it wasn't propelling itself out as quickly (more like a billowing smoke).
Surefire dun messed up releasing those pieces of hot garbage. Another company leaning hard on military contracts
How do you compare flow through without HUXWRX Supressors? 😂
@3NineProd-v6j because they're the reason their is a stigma that exists, that Flow and RBS is always going to be louder... how to know someone has a hux.. they always mention "we'll you need ear pro anyway, so..."
The last time I ran into a Hux, it was a Flow 556.. and I asked the fella if he was running a trainer until his suppressor got approved.
He then informed me, that he was In fact using a suppressor.
I'll test one if you send it in. But it's not worth us spending the money.
Highly recommend anything else besides their 556K as it’s a K can.
Try out the 762 or 556 Ti. Or the Ventums.
@@3NineProd-v6j More like SUXWRX, they are more like a blast forwarding device in that they are so boomy for anyone else.
I picked up a flow 7.62 recently as my first flow through can. I've had standard baffle suppressors since 2008, so I was concerned about it being louder than I'm used to. I was wrong. The flow 7.62 sounds just like my standard cans on 556. I shot it without ears for a few rounds just to make sure. Also it's incredibly light. I've got it really hot, and it's pretty tough for a titanium can. First trip was 300 rounds shot with only one cool down in between. It's huge downsides are the proprietary mounts are really expensive, and it has tons of sparks. The sparks are calming down. We'll see if they go away or not. I'm happy with the flow though, and they did make a special run of a stainless version of the flow 556 not k. That can ads weight to get rid of the sparks.

You think a Rotex or SRBS will last as long as an RC2?
@dansmajd4105 no reason it shouldn't, they're still inconel made.
B&T also supplies more suppressors to Mil & Gov than Surefire.

Every one of those mounts are gross and massive. Added weight and length. Seems counterproductive to not direct thread them. The point of a small can is to be small. You add 2” of length with giant mounts. A suppressor would not come with a mount to reduce cost and so you can get whatever mount you want. If you direct thread the full size can it’s the same size as the compact version with the mount.
@Blvckfvlcon not really. The srbs compact on a BT SF hub adds 6" off the muzzle face. Which is only about 4" off the Muzzle device. And you get to have a muzzle device underneath the suppressor for changing guns. So you aren't left with a device less gun.
Direct threading is going to give you around 4.75" off of the muzzle. But while it saves you a small amount of length, you also are stuck with that suppressor on that gun. Sure you could remove it. But who is running bare muzzles if you do?

@tylerfrogley1227 so I absolutely love the SRD series from Sig, the srd556 and 762qd are at the top of my list. Sadly they are discontinued.
But the SLX/H series just isn't great. I'd take an Rc3 over the Slx.
Only reason the Rc3 has made an appearance, is because we got one at release. If we knew what we knew then, it wouldn't even be worth putting in the review.
