  • This is my second "how to" video. At this time I wanted to show a technique for damascus steel forging and knife making.
I hope that this video will encourage someone to start forging and carry on old traditions of craftsmanship.
Also, I wanted to thank everyone who appreciated my first video. Your kind words helps and motivates me to make more stuff like this in the future.
Big thanks to Elvijs Viskers who made this video.

I bought my wife a 10.5" Autine chef's knife made by John for Christmas (this exact model, except larger), and we are absolutely thrilled with it. We are considering ordering a full kitchen set from him very soon.
The quality of craftsmanship is amazing as is the beauty and cutting ability of the knife. Razor sharp and there's no sign of slowing down. Despite having fairly sophisticated sharpening equipment, there has yet to be a need for it.
Great product John! Can't wait to order/own more of your beautiful work.
