Chief Sanya left his son to fight for Akin while Baba Gbenro was fighting (in prayers) for Martins. It's so painful how Gbenro let down his guard and became exposed to the attack of the enemy. Gbenro walked out of God's covering on his own and he was all by himself when the enemy attacked. He kept his sin and had no one to stand for him like his father and chief Sanya.
This is the perfect description of many believers. They want to be "godly in a wordly" manner leaving their front doors opened to the enemy! We all need that Baba Gbenro in our lives🙏🙏

They don't hide their humanity, weaknesses and frailties but they are quick to switch to their divinity in forgiveness to make up for it...what a spiritual union!

I wanted watching the whole season 4 of Abbatoir at a go...so I watched Episodes 1 to 7 at night on the 1st of November and 8-9 afterwards and I can testify to God breaking and remolding me... I haven't read the Bible in months even though I carried it along in my travels... Not until I watched the first episode of Abbatoir... I cried and cried while praying in repentance.

He thinks he’s gotten to the pinnacle of his faith. Let he who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls. This is really a sermon. Let’s continue to watch and pray

The fact that he ignored a cry for help from a suicidal lady in the past is now making him deaf to all the warning signs about this new lady.
We must be careful not to run into temptations and the schemes of the enemy in our attempts not to "repeat our mistakes". This is where we lean heavily on the Holy Spirit. Dele is now leaning on blood and flesh, and using his efforts to avoid repeating past mistakes.
This life is full of different potholes, only the Holy Spirit can help us maneuver them all.

Ah! Eniola oh!!! It has finally happened. It sadeens my heart that she continued in sin with Gbenro, despite what was revealed to her, through her dream and through her friend. Anyone that is willing to sin with you, with no iota of remorse, is not actually for you!
I think that courting couples have a lot to learn from this. Being engaged to someone who has a strong dishonor for their parents/leaders and despise accountability of any kind, is a MASSIVE RED FLAG! If they don't change before marriage, they won't automatically change in the marriage.
Dele on the other hand, has become a classic example of lack of sensitivity, spiritual pride and over-confidence; something the Scripture warns us against. "Let he that thinks he stands, take heed lest he falls" is still a very valid warning to us.
The path that leads to destruction is very wide!
I know that God will save Martins and Akin.

And you know that the two revelations Eniola received before hand + the constant warning and instruction from Baba Gbenro were acts of God's Mercy, but they didn't heed to it.

One of the things I learnt from this episode when Commando saw fire in Martin's eyes; Until the people see the hand of God working upon us, it will be hard for them to believe that what we carry in our inside is greater than what is outside. Commando didn't succumb to Martin's command until he saw fire in his eyes; that's God working.

It's how mama Gbenro supports her husband unconditionally, she's a great pillar that her husband can always rely on.... God give us Deborah's as wives, give us virtuous women oh God.
She's truly supportive to her husband but I wished she was able to make out time to attend her son's court wedding maybe she would have been able to prevent Eniola's death with intercessory prayer like chief Sanya is doing for Akin. Ministers of God must find more time for their nuclear family.
The irony of this whole story and the reality of life is this: for most people, God has already blessed them by planting certain 'baba Gbenro's' in their lives but out of ignorance, foolishness or sometimes, over-familiarity, they've unconsciously or even consciously, ignored the anointing upon these individuals

I thought that was powerful. To be well given birth to, is to be born of the the Spirit. but to be improperly given birth to is to be born of the flesh. In other words, we are not well given birth to until we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Powerful.

Saying out loud whatever the spirit puts in our mouth during warfare prayers is key - baba Gbenro suddenly started quoting Isaiah 54:17 exactly at the point where Commando had raised the cutlass weapon against Martins, while mama Gbenro suddenly started shouting holy ghost fire at the point where fire was needed to confront the enemy at the war front.
I wept seriously when Gbenro's Dad knelt down to beg him to come back to Jesus. It felt like he was talking to me 🥺😭 Lord help me!

Baba and Mama Gbenro are exceptional people who are doing amazingly. They have thus far applied and reaped the principles of intercession in discipleship but not parentally, which is like standing on one leg... If they pray more than they speak to Gbenro, the effect of the prayers we see on Martins will without fail be the same on Gbenro. Gbenro receives word ministration with less prayer. The two (prayer and the word) are super effective and prayer is more effective of the two in soul wining because it is the work of the Spirit to bring conviction to save a soul even after the word has been sown.
In summary, discipleship and parenting should be balanced as prayer and the word should. The dividends of excelling in both is super glorious.

I think they've also been prayerful for gbenro, that's why he received instructions from the Holy Spirit to visit him and to speak repentance to him
While I get your point, but not sure you follow the depth of discussion Baba Gbenro had with Gbenro, if they had not been interceding for him he won't have even visited him(considering how hard Gbenro has been avoiding them) noting that it has been instructed to them earlier but Gbenro chose to buy the enemies lies
I was deeply blessed by that conversation because it shows how the enemies sells us lies as believers then we run on those emotions and act negatively, in Gbenro's giving him more justification for indulging in sin...or don't you think that the visit from his dad should have made him change his hotels plans with his babe...even his babe consistently drawing and hitting him hard, his mother's reaching out to him(let's say he has issues with his father what of his mum)... His heart has been hard and mind set... Baba Gbenro even said he would more than that... He literally begged him... All actions from his parents I'm sure wouldn't have happened without prayer and intercession
One thing that dropped in my heart as I contrasted Gbenro and Martins.... Gbenro heart was full of bitterness and unforgiveness( previous seasons you would see how the seed grew tho he was hot then and even used mightily for deliverance, the more he yielded to the flesh the harder his heart became), I imagined the way God was reaching out to deliver him but he chose not to receive it...while Martins heart was ready, when help came, he had a burning altar to receive it
Bottom line, in our walk with God we should hold hard on God, may our hearts never be cold to our saviour's love and call
God is consistently reaching out to us, would we accept God's truth than the devil's cheap lies and taunt of our insecurities?
Parenting is hard discipling is hard, but when we approach both balanced in word and prayer God helps us...
Personal opinion, it is easier to intercede passionately for your biological child than a spiritual child.
May God help us not to fall short of all he has placed in our hands wether biologically or spiritually(children/gifts/talents etc)
But I think baba Gbenro was balancing that is why he was receiving revelations about Gbenro
