It's always not enough to hear from God, you need to know the person in particular.
God will speak to you the way He always does on other matters.
When I was dating my ex ( which wasn't a pure relationship, I was a church goer)
There was no asking God, nothing nothing.
After some years, I traveled out of the country.
We were still hanging on.
Till I started having series of dreams about how it wasn't going to work between us.
In my dreams, I'd be searching for this guy's house, but I couldn't reach it, (he and his family had moved to their own house which I didn't know because I was not in the country) I would suspect it was because I didn't know the new house that's why I couldn't reach him...
Then I had other ones, where I'd be going to their former house but I couldn't still get to the old house, everywhere would be cloudy!
I'd be searching for him but would not find him, I was thinking it was because of the distance between us (he is in Africa and I'm in Europe)
We continued that way. I was already having doubts on my mind.
He was going to pastoral school as at this time, I was trying my best to stay away from naughty talks he would initiate...
I called him one day, he wanted me to greet his roommate, he passed the phone to the guy and this dude asked me how Benin was!
I told him Benin is fine.
He later passed the phone to my ex who now walked away from his roommate, he said "thank you for not saying you're not in Benin!
That he told the guy I was in Benin and so on...
What was I expecting?
A guy who was still talking ungodly stuff through the phone, it means if we were together, he would have been asking for s*X!
Mind you, there was nothing like Bible study for us ooo, nothing like praying together...
I was hoping we could start a godly relationship afresh, but that didn't happen, instead he graduated to double dating.
The last one I had : I was married in this dream, my husband and i visited the guy's (ex's) church , I and this my husband were wearing same material ( though I didn't see my husband's face in the dream.
After few months, I had to tell him to go his way, told him my reasons.
Then I started dreaming about a certain area where I lived when i was
11 to 12 years of age.
I didn't understand the meaning but I knew something was going on, because mostly, when I have repeated dream it means it'll come to pass.
After some time, I saw some guy on Facebook who we lived together in that area I was dreaming of!
We became friends on Facebook, we later exchanged number, WhatsApp, normal call.
Before he could ask me out, I had a dream: his mother came to me in the dream and pleaded with me to take care of him.
I didn't understand the meaning until he asked me out.
Meanwhile, I was still very cold in the things of the Lord.
Before he asked me out, he would asked questions and questions and questions!
He asked me about my spiritual life, education, about everything! and I noticed that I couldn't pretend.
I told him everything he needed to know.
To cut it all short, he asked me out and started teaching me the word of God.
He waited patiently for me to accept Christ.
And God has been faithful.
But for Covid, we would have been married this August, we couldn't make it after August because I had already taken my leave.
Early next year is when we'll now be getting married.
It's not enough to hear from God, you need to know the person God is leading you to.
