    Thank you for this video..I am 3 years out VSG and I have noticed around year 3-4 most bariatric surgery patients have stopped documenting their experiences. People like me still need that support especially since though cities have opened up most groups are during times I work. Thanks for encouraging us all and you continue to be encouraged as well.

    I’m 8yrs post op , my lowest was 119, I was 135 for the longest. I’m currently 165, as a believer in Christ too I recognize the need to make my body a living sacrifice, I’m back in the gym 5 days doing stairs or what every my body can handle that day. As long as I go. Listen to your body is necessary. I’m scheduling an appointment to see my surgeon soon . Thanks for sharing your journey ❤

    Thank you for the recent update. I am almost 3 years out and I am so blessed to have my strength and energy back. I can go shopping not sitting in a scooter and I don't sit after barely 10 minutes of walking. I have cleaned and went out to do other things without being exhausted. I keep water with me at all times and I do my own cooking to make several small meals. I watch myself not to take large sips and I balance meals. I feel great and blessed and the being cute was last thing on my list. I enjoy being available for my and friends but I also am happy for myself.

    Hey I'm from Brazil, I did the bypass 3 years ago, I'm still having such a hard time still eating dairy and sugar so I just prefert to not consume it, the same with foods with too much oil, and some foods taste completly different, like read meat its so gross... but in a way its good so I don't really eat much, its funny how my taste has changed and never realy got back to the way it was, I really just adapted...

I have been approved for surgery, I have done all the requirements and waiting for my meeting with my surgeon to schedule the date. However, i haven’t decide if I want to go through it because I am a Christian and have been dealing with whether this is something that a Christian should consider. Would God approve of this. I have been reflecting as well, in my body is the temple of God. Thank you for your video and sharing your journey. God bless!

      Yes, I have experienced some hair thinning, but I am not 100 percent confident that is from the surgery but rather due to a medication I take that may be the culprit.

    Hi! I am a bit more concerned on scars sadly. So I wonder, are they textured/bumpy or just colored? I am asking cause I try to cover scars with makeup sometimes for special occasions where I am already insecure enoguh :/

    • @TachiHogans1
      @TachiHogans1  2 года назад +1

      They are both, they are slight bumpy and colored. Certain spots have a tiny bit more texture than others on my arm. The scars aren't raised so from a side angle they look flush with my skin. Also keep in mind, I was told by my DR with having a darker complection my scars my be more prominent. I have family members that have fair skin and have had different skin removal surgeries and there scars are barely noticable.
      Thank you for watching and have a great day.

    • @TachiHogans1
      @TachiHogans1  2 года назад

      Yes, this is my natural hair. I am still firguring out how to maintain my curls lol. My hair is extremely picky when it comes to products and the type of water I use to wash it. I am a big believer in using a head wrap for my hair at night, I have a polyester on I have been using but am about to switch over to a silk pillow case. Cotton sucks the moisture out of my hair and creates a frizzy mess. Also making sure to take my vitamins and proteins has helped.
