Rewatchables needs its own pod for traction... Suh a great movie and lineup for you guys. Deserves more views. great stuff! Keep it up. More pls!!! Need more 80-90s stuffs... Red Dawn, more obscure 80s stuffs. Johnny Be Good, etc.
Sean is never allowed to shit on CR's style again. CR is doing this whole pod with his Spotify badge facing the camera. That's a flex. Sean has one video pod to respond.
Olivia Rodrigo who's half Filipina is still in her early 20's but yet she's so famous amongst the Gen Z people. I agree with Bill. I think Olivia and Zendaya will dominate the decade of the 2020's in terms of stardoms.
29:20 I think the modern famous person love triangle that would come close to that level of juice is like Margo Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Zendaya. And say, the Zendaya tennis threesome movie (challengers I think it is?) is just her and Gosling the whole time. Or Robbie and Gosling meet on Barbie and we're off from there.
Missed the mark on the Vince Vaughn angle and trying to recast. Him being loud and obnoxious is the whole point of that character to hide the fact that he might be more dangerous than everyone else. Even he says that he doesn’t wake up for jobs under $500,000. For the agency to put up with that he had to be a secret badass. You need a Vince Vaughn type there. I agree they should’ve showed him to some action though.
@@candacemalone2997 good cast too. I thought Brad's co-star was really good in this movie - I can't remember her name. I think she was also on that movie with Russell Crowe where he was a genius.
Moneyball is a different type of movie but if you like sports/analytics it's very well-written and Pitt absolutely crushed it! That's probably in my top 3 Pitt movies
My hot take: I'm just not that into Angelina Jolie. My argument isn't that she's not beautiful. It's that's she's too perfect. Someone like Sandra Bullock that has girl nextdoor good looks I find much more appealing. When an actress has supermodel level beauty I kinda check out.
She was good in Tomb Raider, Girl Interrupted and she was OK in Alexander. But that's about it. I think she chose the wrong movies, like this one, in her career. She could've had a career like Julia Roberts but she never reached that level. Not even close.
@@lilpenny1982 I don't think Jolie can act nearly as well as Julia Roberts. (Though ironically Roberts was terrible in the Ocean's movies, but I think that's writing and the role, not her. I love the Ocean's movies otherwise.) A different question: was Aniston really America's sweetheart? I thought that was Meg Ryan or Sandra Bullock. (Though nothing like some bad plastic surgery to bump them both out of that category.) Ryan's last "sweetheart" role was Kate and Leopold (2001). Sandy the Bull's last was probably what, "The Proposal" (2009)? Though she turned in a killer performance in Gravity in 201.
@@David-iv6je I never felt that Jolie was America's sweetheart. I thought it was Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock. I like Meg Ryan but I thought her apex was not long enough. And I felt like Meg chose a lot of romcoms which made people think she didn't have any range. Looking back, I feel like Meg Ryan had the same career as Jennifer Lopez (movies).
@@David-iv6je Sandra Bullock overachieved in my eyes. I first saw her in Speed and she just improved from there. Took on different roles - not just romcoms. She definitely had range. People forget that Julia Roberts also had range. I remember she took on riskier roles that did well at the box office like Pelican Brief and that lawyer movie where she won an Oscar.
@@David-iv6je My favorite actresses in the 1990's were actually Elisabeth Shue and Diane Lane. Shue was great in In Leaving Las Vegas and that movie she did with Kevin Bacon (where you couldn't see Kevin) and that movie with Val Kilmer where it was shot in Russia. Diane Lane was really good in Unfaithful. I thought she should've won Best Actress tbh at the Oscars that year. But the best performance by a woman in the 1990's would have to be Sharon Stone in Casino. She was really good too in Basic Instinct - too bad people remember this movie for the interview scene because this movie really had everything.
I wouldn't say 12 is terrible. It's just not coherent. Like it's almost a collection of skits rather than a film with a clear story arc. You can do that if you have enough famous and good actors, but it's still going to be weak.
@@David-iv6je I agree with your take about the skits. It definitely felt like that. I think the first one was a little bit like that too but the storyline was so good that I really didn't notice it.

This movie and it's backstory were built in a lab for Amanda. But am I wrong in saying that she kinda sucked in this episode? Just didn't bring any good insights to the discussion.
I actually don’t think Jolie is attractive at all. She started the big lips trend that still manages to plague the entire universe. I guess some people do think she’s attractive, but I never got it at all.

As crazy as Brad and Angelina buying a house in Berlin and moving to Germany
Wait everything from there on was crazy 😅
AND THE HITS KEEP ON COMING!
My dream is to be a fly on the wall for a Rewatchables episode
WANTED is highly rewatchable
Hot Take: Brad Pitt was America’s sweetheart in this whole love triangle thing😎
He cheated on his wife. Sweet.
It’s Jennifer in a runaway. Not even close.
The one enjoyable Angelina movie that seems to always be forgotten is Salt. Fun action movie that does not seem to get mentioned much
Fun fact: Tom Cruise was supposed to be the lead for SALT.
I felt Jennifer Aniston cringe when Amanda said "this was a beautiful moment."
This episode needed Van. His TMZ perspective at the time would’ve been nice.
