Mike Mayers!!?? Come on! No way! No way, José!... The best thing about Stiller is that he plays it so serious, you always believe what he is doing even when he's doing the craziest stuff... Mike Mayers only works when doing over-the-top films, you never believe he is actually having real emotions, he's a caricature. Along Came Polly works because it works at an emotional level- that's Stiller.
Crocodile Tears is supposed be a "Breakfast Club" type movie. And I can't believe you guys didn't mention that Sandy has a display case with the bagpipes in it in his apartment!
Zoolander is very rewatchable, actually an amazing movie. NYC movie, 90 minutes, incredible cast, endless race horse names, a decent pee break, could make a new category out of the cameos. it does have another bathroom joke
My memory on this one is quite clear. It's one of the very few romcoms I wanted to go see; in fact, I wanted to see it more than my wife did. She was understandably sick of Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston (as was I) so she wasn't too interested. I wanted to go see it because I had to see what the hell PSH was doing in a freakin romcom. And I remember our verdict when we left the theater, which was: funny Hoffman movie with a B-plot involving Stiller and Aniston.
Gentlemen, Love the Podcast. I just finished listening to this one as I was catching up on a few that I missed this year. Halloween Month was great BTW. I had to comment on this as I feel like at one point Fennessey was going to mention it but the movie alluded him. . . . . APEX MOUNTAIN for IBS in a Movie: The Ladykillers! JK Simmons' character, Garth Pancake the demolition specialist, met his lady friend, Mountain Girl, on the IBS Retreat. The IBS proves to be an issue later in the movie. Although not the greatest or memorable Coen Bros. installment, I feel like The Ladykillers definitely has some Rewatchable potential.
I said this on X also, but I really think The Breakup deserves a second watch. The studio sold it as a comedy and not only is it not I don’t think it was filmed or edited as a comedy. It’s a great examination of relationships that shouldn’t fall apart but do because people get so stubborn and fenced off in their corner. Watch it through the correct lens and you experience a movie trying to tell you something not trying to make laugh. The funny scenes are comic relief to release some of the tension, but that’s the only reason any comedy exists. Try this experiment please.
I totally buy the premise of this movie. I have dated outside my space because I just don’t have a type, I just get into people and who they are. I’ve worked in investments and banking for 20 years but have found myself with bartenders and Reiki Masters because though nothing like me or my station I really like them. Spoiler it usually ends like some variation it did for Ruben at that restaurant. So I buy it.
I am one of those weird people who likes listening to the podcast for movies I haven’t seen, especially 80s movies that I’m not familiar with. It’s like a two hour Madlib and is really fun on a gummy. They’ll be like Gary Busey really took a bite of that live chicken, or some random recasting that just sounds made up. I get a lot of laughs and sometimes end up just pausing the podcast and finally watching the movie. But not usually.
Craig - that was a hot take. Paul Rudd is extremely handome and I would choose over Dempsey any day of the week.. and not just recent Paul Rudd... we're talking Clueless and Romeo and Juliet era!!
Likely the reason Foxx was in supporting for Collateral was because that year he was in best actor for Ray, it would have lowered his chances of winning if he was in the same category twice
I think horror movies and horror comedies are infinitely rewatchable... why don't you guys do more? Halloween and Alien were a great episodes. I'd love to listen to an Army of Darkness or Dawn of the Dead rewatchables. A Nightmare on Elm Street would be pretty awesome too.
Not Bills jam. Not big on horror or sci-fi. He's also not a fan of David Lynch, Kubrick, Wes Anderson, or the Coen brothers. His tastes are really vanilla.
I know you guys love Hoffman, we all do, but you guys undersold Stiller on this one. Everyone actually. You guys talked PSH a full forty five minutes and nothing else and then talked about the movie, some of which was more PSH. Not a knock, in fact I'm not surprised, But man...
Serious question. Do people actually watch these videos? I like listening on RUclips because there's no ads, but I've never just sat and watched an episode.
I prefer watching this podcast because I enjoy seeing their interactions. Typically I don’t understand the video podcast thing. It’s largely some sort of deconstruction of the podcast medium which was designed to be consumed over audio only.
I LOVE watching them. I also love listening. The watching you get the facial expressions and that adds to the information you’re getting about their views on the movies

Come on..do some real rewatchables movies. This is NOT it. Not the last few movies either. Episodes 341 onwards. Silverado's a rewatchable, Dark city, Friday...not these shites.
Love that Bill is finally branching onto RUclips for these Rewatchables 🙏🏻
Thank God. Never thought he would understand. Need clips from the movies. To help with context.
I wish every Rewatchables had video
"It's too bad Baldwin shot somebody...", completely lost it when Bill let that one rip 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for putting out the video version of the pod same time as the audio!!
this
I remember this being my formal introduction to Philip Seymour
Hoffman and even then thinking ‘this dude seems way over-qualified for this role.’
Same here I was like 15
1:20:20 Tom Cruise shows up in a Ben Stiller movie a few years later as Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder. Funniest he's ever been.
Baldwin was my fav in this one. His joke at the wedding and PSH being the only one laughing is amazing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Y’all should drop some rewatchables merch!!!
I love the ringer bringing more content to RUclips. Great idea.

Stiller plays awkward so well lol, no way it could've been anybody else.
Rewatchables are always great when it’s some combo of BS, Sean and CR. Even for movies I haven’t seen I’ll watch the episode if it’s them.
1000%
I love when they throw Mallory in, too. She's so out of pocket every single time
@@dani3670 haven't listened to her all that much, but she was awesome on the Dead Poets episode. One of my favorite rewatchables.
SO EXCITED for Ringer Movies! Love when they put the videos up. Also, can we see Craig?
The St. Barts parts of the movie were filmed on Oahu, HI. The catamaran is owned by Kualoa Ranch. That scene is filmed on Secret Beach.
I’m so glad I get to watch all of these on RUclips. I already enjoyed them via the regular podcast but getting to put faces with names are awesome.
Miss you Hoffman! Amazing actor
Hoffman is easily the best thing about this average movie. Philarious.
I'm really surprised they didn't think of Marisa Tomei for Polly in recasting.
Crocodile Tears is supposed be a "Breakfast Club" type movie. And I can't believe you guys didn't mention that Sandy has a display case with the bagpipes in it in his apartment!
"We all need to look into our hearts and go 'Do I think this Dude is gonna die in a couple of years or not?'" RIP Philip
47:50
Arleen Sorkin
RIP
50:56 Crocodile Tears is a Breakfast Club rip off, right? Check the poster 👌
Finally doing videos!
Starsky and Hutch is amazing! When is that coming on the rewatchables?!
Zoolander is very rewatchable, actually an amazing movie. NYC movie, 90 minutes, incredible cast, endless race horse names, a decent pee break, could make a new category out of the cameos. it does have another bathroom joke

What is that Fennessy thumbnail?! 😂

Wow I love this movie!!! Nice surprise

Simmons has incredibly soulful eyes
You guys need to do videos for every episode and please for the love of god play clips
Bryan Brown bringing this character back for Anyone But You was great

Let it rain!
Make it rain!
bill almost looks like he has one arm
37:21 Craig likes racquetball.
I’m here for the Re-Cocktail
Talking underrated rom coms: look no further than Matthew Perry, Oliver Platt and Neve Campbell in "Three To Tango"
It's time for Rewatchables/Ringer Movies merch!
Love this movie. Michele Lee was in Knots Landing. Not Dallas.
Please do limitless, tropic thunder, horrible bosses , and my best friends girl on the rewatchables
The Limitless episode is on Spotify. The problem with doing a movie like my best friend’s girl is that they might invite Amanda.
Tropic Thunder is a lead pipe lock. Just a matter of time.
Horrible bosses is garbage, chief.

A bit odd that Sean refused to say Michael Maccarone’s name while not saying anything negative and giving us enough information to easily find them.
Craig - that was a hot take. Paul Rudd is extremely handome and I would choose over Dempsey any day of the week.. and not just recent Paul Rudd... we're talking Clueless and Romeo and Juliet era!!
Ben Stiller did Heavy Weights. Don't forget it
Likely the reason Foxx was in supporting for Collateral was because that year he was in best actor for Ray, it would have lowered his chances of winning if he was in the same category twice
Couples retreat? Get him to the Greek? Forgetting Sarah Marshall?
WHITE CHOCOLATE! OLD SCHOOL
I can’t believe they didn’t mention a very young Kevin Hart on the camera crew for E! True Hollywood Story? Also Cheryl from Curb makes an appearance!
FINALLY❤
Here me out...The Re-Lebowski
I wonder what the future replacement for “citizen cane” in an argument for a stable of film being top tier classically and of a certain esthetic. 🤷♂️
@RJM-eh2tv besides alien and halloween I can't think of any horror movies they've covered.
Not Bills jam. Not big on horror or sci-fi. He's also not a fan of David Lynch, Kubrick, Wes Anderson, or the Coen brothers. His tastes are really vanilla.
March 23rd 1992 6:32pm-6:39pm
Maybe too much but a camera on Craig for when he wants to chime in would be good.
Owning Mahoney rewatchables please!
“He’s a sexy guy…. And…. he’s sexually active in the community “
Come on Bill. Komodo dragon apex mountain is The Freshman🙂
Next time you do a running scale please do it correctly by measuring from Steven Seagull to Tom Cruise
I know you guys love Hoffman, we all do, but you guys undersold Stiller on this one. Everyone actually. You guys talked PSH a full forty five minutes and nothing else and then talked about the movie, some of which was more PSH. Not a knock, in fact I'm not surprised, But man...
Having a cardboard cut out of Larry Bird is probably the whitest thing you could do. I used to have a Homer Simpson one.
Yep, I watch almost all of them.
I LOVE watching them. I also love listening. The watching you get the facial expressions and that adds to the information you’re getting about their views on the movies

the podcast version works better because they add scenes from the movies. I guess they cant do that on YT.
One of Hoffman best movies is before the devil knows you dead with Ethan Hawke
Bill Simmons lets his wife control the aux cord
Happy wife, happy life.
Come on..do some real rewatchables movies. This is NOT it. Not the last few movies either. Episodes 341 onwards. Silverado's a rewatchable, Dark city, Friday...not these shites.
Along Came fucking Polly? Really?
This movie sucks. 1 star.
Man, these guys D RIDE HOFFMAN SO MUCH
And YOU DON'T?
Phil was one of the best ever. Not like Cobain who became that because he died. Hoffman’s resume requires adulation.
PSH deserves it tho
@shitpostheavy no I don't he was a great actor, but his Q rating went way up after his death. I think it's overdone.
If he was so great then why didn’t he ever crack top 10 in the Quigley Poll?
This is an awful movie. How on earth does anyone like this movie more than Easy Money? Horrible
First ever
Did Sean freak out over the non nudity? I mean Jennifer was in her mid 30’s.
