Amen! You can tell an entertainer/ artist really gets it when they see the average, common man getting ripped off by the commercial bull crap that goes on in the business for the sake of making a profit. You go Joe! I wouldn't pay 60dollars for a t-shirt (I don't care who's name or image is on it)!! I have really come to respect this band. Good for them for keeping them selves so humble and modest over the years.
+Hannah Aldrich he's absolutely right, though - who goes to a rock gig with that much cash on them? that stuff will fall out of your pocket easily. I love how he sees it practically from the perspective of the buyer, not just the simple "up-the-price-up-the-profit" business model
Oh wait, I did pay $60 for a hooded sweatshirt at a concert (not def's, though), but the man (who I went to see) was and still is worth an arm , leg, and a thousand nights in hell. I actually (no joke) paid a hundred dollars at his merch table for the hoodie, a poster, and a t-shirt with his gorgeous image on the front. That's the ONLY time I over spent at a merch table at a concert! :) :) :)
I've always identified with these guys. Reminds me of me and my friends. I grew up in a city called Lowell ma. A lot like Sheffield. The guys in Def Leppard could be guys from Lowell. Good decent people. The love of these guys since I was a 10 11 years old
I love how they're all just doin' their own thing, Steve being silly, Joe laughing randomly, and then all of a sudden, a naked drummer runs through the shot xD Then it's on again, backstage chilling, and he pops up again, running and avoiding "obstacles" on his way xD LOL Love Rick, that was perfect ♥ :))
I was them is 83, it was amazing!....Rick Allen had two arms, Steve Clark was alive and Savage saw me from 5 rows back and pointed right at me! It's awesome to have that to live over and over again! If i could have one moment forever, it would be that one!...{My boyfriend, John McCallister was there, that's the other half that makes it so great!}...Diana in Greencastle
omg really!!!! yayy!!! i want that hair style on guys to come back sooooooooooooooo bad! it was soo hott! and yah i agree with andinthedistance. steve was AMAZING i wish i was alive when they did this tour!!! man why couldnt i have been alive in the 80's!!!!!!!
Damn the camera man who panned away from Joe while he was getting dressed!! LMAO! I caught myself leaning over in my chair, as if I could catch a peek, if I could just get the right angle hahaha This was an AWESOME video. Thanks so much for posting. I enjoyed every second of it! Joe is delicious! :)
they are sooo fucking hot!!!!! I started drooling when they were getting dresses! ;D lol! I love the hair and the clothes. So 80's, why couldnt I lived in that lifestyle?!!!
I moved to Salt Lake City in October of 1987. When I saw the video to Guns N' Roses "Welcome To The Jungle" later, that was exactly how I stepped off the bus. Just the next day, they announced Def Leppard and Tesla would be playing the Salt Palace in December. I went the next day and bought two tickets! It was one of the best shows that I have ever seen and I have been to 100's of shows! Sad to see the Salt Palace (in that existence is no more).
I think it's really sweet of how Joe wants to lower the cost of the shirts. Unfortunately, he isn't authorized to make that decision. That money also goes to the company that's sponsoring their Tour.
Ian jeffy's was my mother's best friend during that we got in free and we also stayed in the hotel where def stayed. We had a blast I loved them all. Still do
what happened to the party under the stage. rip steve. saw em in san diego.steve was late and they hid him in an equipment container to wheel him to the stage.
at that time the drumkit was rotating and Rick was pretty much tied to the spot, so the monitoring was probably better done via headphones. This is not a typical IEM (InEarMonitoring) rather a nois protective aircraft headphone. reason: those pads dont sound, so if you want to hear them you need speakers. Plus, I guess the band was f*****g loud. So to judge what you play and if your rig does what you want it to do, you'll need some control. --> Aircraft noisecancelling Headphones.
A lot of this crew(Ian on camera, the guy Joe discusses T-shirt prices with) are also in Metallica's "Year and a Half in the Life Of" video, some 4+ years later.
Good point about the crew. It may be caused because back then Leppard and 'Tallica had same management - Q Prime controlled by Cliff Burnstein and Peter Mensch
lol, Rick running around, like a chicken, cupping his goods! lol.... Chef Leppard, lol.. Good clip! Steve's hair looks like a womans... More mullet hair cuts than I care to see, lol..
Have they ever told how they got to the stage? Remember this tour the stage was in the center of the arena. Me and my gf at the time saw this tour in Hampton, Va.
Rick Allen running around naked. Steve Clark just fooling around. Boys being boys. Priceless. Thanks for the upload.
Steve's not fooling around, he's fa-fa-fa-foolin'!
Love seeing Joe telling them to lower the price of the shirts.

@@michaelsmuse I think it's wonderful too. It shows how much they truly appreciate their fans.
Things like that are why they've never lost their fans!

Great White on stage
Sav is always touching up his hair...
He's me lol. I have to always carry around a scrunchy to keep me from touching my hair too much, or else it'll get too oily. (yes I'm that young lol)
😂 Chef Leppard
@2:01, Steve Clark-my favourite "celebrity chef" :)
I think it's really sweet of how Joe wants to lower the cost of the shirts. Unfortunately, he isn't authorized to make that decision. That money also goes to the company that's sponsoring their Tour.

Have they ever told how they got to the stage? Remember this tour the stage was in the center of the arena. Me and my gf at the time saw this tour in Hampton, Va.
