New lapel mic has just arrived so audio quality will be better for videos recorded from now on (hopefully). Thanks to those who gave that advice. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Also leave all your questions so we can learn together. PS: count the many times I say "right here" and you'll get a free shoutout the next time! LOL =P
OMG, grid navigation? WAY over my head! But thank you for all you do and I appreciate your hard work and dedication. Have a wonderful holiday and fly safe!
Very helpful, and your English got better over time(watched 100k live stream!)Good contents and keep helping us, atpl students. I am happy channel have been growing up and happy to be part of it. Feliz navidad 🎄
Funny story...I had to do problems like this in physics class in high school with vectors except apparently in physics they didn’t want the heading you’d have to fly, which is what my pilot dad taught me when I asked for help. They did it differently and my dad and I were both flabbergasted considering my method would have actually gotten you to the right airport!!! XD
I just finished a course on automotive engineering and I couldn't help but notice the mathematics using circle geometry to get the grid track is something very similar to what we had to do in our mathematics classes. Coincidentally we did this work at the very last part of the course so I still have some of it very fresh in my mind, but man I would be lying if I say it wasn't hard. This stuff had me scratching my head and I was only barely able to follow along with you. You explain it very well which also helped a lot!
I completed my PPL, but i never heard about grid navigation. I thought i was pretty good with the navigation part, but I feel like i'm missing a lot of background information before i can understand what this is all about. Maybe a globe and a piece of string could have helped showing what we're even trying to calculate here. Sorry for my ignorance.
I didn't understand what he is talking about. But he has a pretty white shirt with badges (showing he is an important person), so I continued watching. I had problems when he was writing a Ç (cedilla C) like in Çanakkale (Turkish town) and declaring this character to reperesent a G.
A route is flown (80S,100W) to (80S,140E).At 160W the Grid Track(GT) and True track(TT) on a polar stereographic chart with a grid orientated on the 180 meridian respectively. Please use the formula method i am not getting the answer
Was following along just fine, until he suddenly mentioned the 255 GT... I suppose it’s because I’m not in training to be a pilot. The 255 grid confused me, but I actually understood and was answering everything else right along with him. What was the 255 GT and how in the world did he know to add that to the diagram???
@@VASAviation not at all. Honestly, this is the first time I ever see it. I’m from Latin america and in our school we use Jepp. books and that isn’t mentioned at all, not even PPL, IFR or CPL Well, I think I will start studying that

Hope it helps in some way. Happy Christmas!
perfectly explained !! super helpful for those we are studying this with kind of fear. thank you mate!!
Очень интересно и занимательно! Спасибо! Keep going!
Can you use English, please?
@@VASAviation Yes, of course! There's nothing criminal :)

Glad to hear it helped. Happy Christmas!
4th also dose anyone notice how he drew a prefect circle????
A circle drawn perfectly bad!! :D
Indeed
He might be an alien
*stares into the distance with terrible ATPL flasbacks*
Oh boy... good not good memories!

Thank you so much for the comment!
Nice vid, Hope you're going to upload more of these
Definitely will if I see some support - which I see right now. Thanks for watching!
yooo....love ur explanation...trulllyyyyy want more of such content....
Glad it was helpful!
Buen video, perfecto inglés.
Awesome vid, hope will help me in a few months!!
Best of luck!
I have an American FAA CPL and have never even heard of any of this
Somebody needs to have him teach Land Navigation to enlisted and especially to new 2nd lieutenants
Perfect
Simplified this for me, tnx

Very informative! Please produce more videos like this. Much appreciated bro!
Will do. Thanks for the support!
Very informative... Keep it up...
Will do!!
That moment..🤓. Grab ur pen, take ur notes & let's do it... Is the real mantra🤓

Passed ATPL 3 years ago and have no idea what this is about...
what would the center of the circle be in the map was of the South Pole? 03:19 min ty
Grid nav: the worst subject I've ever had to go through throughout the whole ATPL :o
Gave me nightmares!

GT is the angle from Grid North to the direction of your route so using trigonometry you measure 255ºG clockwise.
why don't you go due west along 75N parallel? It is the shortest route isn't it?
No, it is not. Going through the poles is shorter than going all the way along a parallel of latitude
@@VASAviation of course... I messed it up with the Ship nav... fool of me.
Mate you forgot about great circle sailing, did ya !
You lost me at "simple one"!
Yoo. I recently got my CPL and I have no idea wtf is that HAHAHA
Not requested for your CPL?
