Karnataka is a battleground state for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. In 2019 elections the BJP won 25 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats and are aiming to retain the same number of seats. The opinion polls conducted by Eedina has given an edge to the Congress party. Eedina is an independent news organisation which predicted the 2023 Karnataka Assembly Election results. TNM’s Shabbir Ahmed speaks to Dr Vasu, project head of Eedina Survey on the Karnataka election scenario and the factors dominating the polls.

Karnataka is a part of South India but we are not like Tamilians and keralites. We vote for national interest. This is central election

Bjp govt i think out of 245 promises have achieved only 6 namely. Modernizing railways ( slightly better but costlier than Congress rule), boosted industries to make small arms and defence equipment ( again nothinh highly commendable as still only small scale growth is achieved but a good start), roadways and tunnels are improved, banning terrorist organisation like PFI, SIMI etc and has provided electricity to small villages( report says increased by 12% more than previous congress govt. Except this all are bogus schemes. So out of 100 BJP in the last 10 year score 6.5/100. Pretty poor performance, they were a majority govt. So the verdict is people of india will reject them in 2024.
