You correctly referenced Al Trautwig's incorrect and insensitive comments at the Olympics when he referred to Simone's parents as "her grandfather and his wife", but then you did the same thing! You consistently called Ron and Nellie Biles her "grandparents", and never once referred to them as her parents except when you were quoting Simone. Ron Biles is Simone's biological grandfather, true. But he and Nellie Biless are her father and mother, legally and in every one of their hearts. This one isn't hard to get right and I am very disappointed that you failed to do it.

What they mean is a world all around title. Not an olympic all around title. Simone was the first African American to win an All Around world title in 2013. Gabby Douglas was the first African American to win an Olympic All Around Title in 2012. Worlds and the Olympics are two different things. Worlds happen every year except the olympic year.

I’ve heard stories of people meeting their favorite celebrities, and finding out first hand that they’re not exactly as great as they’ve portrayed themselves on TV or whatever.
