the southern book clubs guide to slaying vampires is so good!! the way they portrayed motherhood and daily tasks and relationships is just perfect to me. like i could’ve just read the entire book just hearing about patricia’s day

I know exactly what you mean, and I guess the daily tasks and the expectations of how to complete them are so important in this book too! Oh Patricia ❤️ her inner monologue was so addictive and I was just rooting for her so much! Such a great book - definitely want to read more Grady in 2023. Thanks for commenting 😊

I was so happy when Cerulean sea popped up in your hands! Easily my book of 2022 also and one of my top books ever I think. I've rarely been so emotionally invested in a novel as I was in this book. "Under The Whispering Door" is also very good, maybe not quite as impactful, but still a great read. Fantastic video as always. Thank you 😊

I'm always so happy to talk to someone who also loved cerulean 😁 I 100% agree, I don't think I've ever been so emotionally invested in a book! Ive thought about trying under the whispering door a few times but as it's got quite a lot of themes around death etc I think I need to be in the right mindset for it! I fancy trying Wolfsong too :)

@@SilverfishASMR I have Wolfsong in a lovely Waterstones edition but haven't yet read it. I'm debating whether to hold off on it until I have the other three in the series but those are pre-ordered up to the end of next year so it would be a long wait! In The Lives of Puppets is released next week (25/4/23) and that sounds fascinating as it's his re-telling of Pinocchio. As for UTWD, yes, the central premise is all about death and what lies beyond that so for sure there is the potential of triggers. However, as I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear, the theme is handled with such sensitivity, love, humour and hope that it is another beautiful book by TJ Klune. I only wish I hadn't read it immediately after Cerulean Sea as it was never going to live up to that experience!

@@pilgrimcobra it's so good to hear about UTWD, I knew I would be in safe hands but yeah, just need to be ready! I did not know about the Pinocchio retelling! I am immediately looking into that!

happy happy new year !! i am excited to see more books from you this year !!
fiction & fantasy are always my go too as well. i love when books are character driven, rather than strictly what’s going on in the world, so it’s super interesting to see how similar our tastes are!!
