- Rose City Comic Con 2021 took place on September 10-12. It was held at Portland, Oregon at the Oregon Convention Center. The cosplayer in the dress with the RCCC cape was amazing! I saw them walking down some stairs and was in awe of it! My video begins the same with that banner too! Lol
Great minds think alike! Saw her a few times around inside but her cape was sooo good when we were outside in the wind!

Lol the masks def made it hard for me to recognize people!
@@ChongAhn I was looking for my older sister in the exhibit hall at one point. I found her in the distance, so I walked straight at her (head on) and she didn't recognize me, even after I walked right into her 🤣
(She was like "oh, excuse me", and I was like "Gennie!!" It was hilarious. She's only known me my whole life...)

Cosplay used to be about who could build a cool costume. Now days it's about who can buy the best costume. More than half, a lot more than half, of the costumes I saw this year at RCCC were purchased on line.
I’d argue that cosplaying is bigger than that now. Yes it’s impressive if you design and make your own cosplay from scratch but I think it’s also valid to use someone else’s design or make part of your cosplay or dare I say just buy the cosplay. It’s more about the fandom. Let them be fans of the show/movie/anime or whatever it is.
