To the peanut gallery...….Hey when it's your car you can build it anyway you see fit. Why do you want to down what someone else does with their car ? Go away with your negativity and channel it out on some one that truly needs it. It looks like it's a first car for this young girl and I'm sure she will remember this the rest of her life. Nice work. I think it looks fine, plus you saved another MOPAR from the scrap heap.
Since you built it for your daughter, it's ok to paint the engine pink. LOL Seriously though, you built her a real beauty. I used to have a Duster that was red and black, and had the same scoop, but I cut the hood to make it functional. I sure miss that old car. That car of hers started out looking pretty fair until you started cutting out the rust, and WOW did it have a lot of mud in it. Now it's a solid beauty that should last her for a long time. Hope she will have it for years to come.
Building a car the way you see fit,or the car you've had a picture in your head of for ever is how you should build it,regardless of how others think it should be done. The only person that you need to make happy is yourself for all you downers out there.
Killer build vid. To paint the motor PINK for the girl... that's some mad love right there. ;P Lucky chick, and lucky us, for getting to see the transformation. Aside from the pink motor, I'd be SO happy with that car.
Me being old school love the older Dodge muscle cars particularly the Duster we had a 72 Duster gold Duster black and gold as well as I had a 74 Duster I never had the finances to rebuild the cars now I wish to God I did the older Mopars rule the muscle car world if I ever come across another duster preferably from the early 70s you bet your bottom dollar she's going to be beautiful I loved my 74 Duster so much she even had a name I named her bunny Mopars even rule the road now but the older Mopars ruled a muscle car world
I own a 1974 Plymouth Gold Duster.... 360 auto.... Black with white stripe and black bucket seats and interior.... Still original paint and interior... the motor and transmission are from a Dodge Dart...
I think this is beautiful workmanship, more hours than I'd want to imagine, and more money too, than most could spend. Wonderful project for parent and offspring. But to John Benz and others, let me present this idea: To some "restoration" means just that- returning it as it was. Painting different color schemes and different colors and changing to chrome parts, and different interior, and different striping than the factory offered is what some call customization rather than restoring. When a person reads "restoration" in the main title, they may be expecting a replica of how it came from the factory. That might lead to some of what you call negativity. More in the description, rather than the finished product.
The color of the engine is awesome, the color of the car too ..... but both colors together bite. Yellow the car and Pink the engine, that would be correct. But you drive with the hood closed;) Nice car! ps: i hope google translated it correctly
It's Great to see young people into the " older" classics as well
Looks great! Makes me miss my 73' Duster. Sold her when I moved from Alaska to the lower 48 about 20 years ago.....

Two things you sais perfectly.
If it is her first car she will ALWAYS remember it and what a car to remember.
Been preaching it for years. Your car build it your way.
@Pauly Gambino I like to see the engine bay the same color also.
Very nice work, I'm sure she's very proud of her Duster. I like the engine call outs, .030 over 318.
Good to see another classic restored and not crushed
New to your channel. Beautiful job on the DUSTER. You sir have a lucky daughter
Beautiful Duster if I may say so, cool ride.
Every Chrysler A-body MUST be saved, period....
Hand Built" does Great work from what I've seen on videos

Great build, not crazy about the pepto bismol color of the engine but it looks good.
Very nice work 👍👍👍
Have never liked black engine bays on Mopars unless body color was black.
To each his own I guess.
Right, They're not chevrolets, Mo pars our body Color under the hood
I would have put a fat blower on top of that engine but it's a cool and nice build good job
Did you have to so any modifications to the floor to get that 46rh to fit?

Red....... pink would've even been better. Sweet car anyway though!
I was hoping for Panther Pink also...
What engine is that
have the hood repainted, the stripe is not centered
What was the most challenging part? Current rebuilding a 73 duster from a slant 6 to a 318!
why the early engine mounts
This is Valiant?
Silly question, this is not the same as a dodge demon?
The reason I ask is when I search for the demon it comes up with a dart, duster and even some other name.
first song?
ГДе? КАК? КТО? ОТКУДа новые кузовные запчасти на авто 50 ти летней давности????
Should just not be pink of any kind
Worst clip audio EVER! pink engine block. riiiiiight.
