Great list as always. Thanks for putting some new flicks on my radar, and thanks for giving some screentime to 'Blue Ruin'. Absolutely one of my favorite movies OF ALL TIME! I watched it having seen the director's previous, 'Murder Party,' and was expecting the same kind of Indie/Art-school Horror/Comedy, but no. Just no. You mentioned 'No Country for Old Men,' I might also add it gives a similar vibe to Karyn Kusama's 'The Invitation' from 2015 (IMO). Glad you liked it, too. The Director's next film, as some will know, was the amazing (although for very different reasons from his other two films), 'Green Room' with Macon Blair (star of 'Blue Ruin'), Patrick Stuart, and the late, great, Anton Yelchin. Keep up the good work! EDIT: Got so wrapped up in my 'Blue Ruin' excitement I forgot to mention my love, love, love for 'A Perfect World' and 'Dogville.' I would likewise watch 'Dogville' anytime, anywhere. Also 'Zodiac.'
Hi friend. Thank you so much for the very kind words. That's the goal with the channel; that we're all a group of friends who love movies and talking about them. Thank you so much for watching and being here. 😀👋👋
I too am not a musical fan and I’m barely a horror fan, and I absolutely LOVE Sweeney Todd! It’s entertaining, visually stunning, and I love the moral of the story. Awesome video Stephanie! As always I learned about a bunch of “new to me” movies. Thanks for the great recommendations.
Hi! How are you friend? I so love your videos. I feel like I'm sitting with a friend just discussing films. Your passion comes through. Great stuff. I've been wanting to see A Taxi Driver. Anyhow, nice vid as usual!
"Secondhand Lions" is terrific. I thought the trailer was dumb, but when I finally saw the movie, I was charmed. " A Perfect World" is very good too. Not really what I expected from Eastwood, but very powerful. Very underrated. I really like "Sweeney Todd." Some people feel they cut too much of the music, but the movie is outstanding. Depp is superb, and the whole movie fits together wonderfully. "Chappaquiddick" is another one that took me by surprise. Another really well-done movie.
Great recommendations again. As always, I took notes on several titles I haven’t heard of. I also noticed the cute Wednesday doll on your shelf. I also put some Halloween decorations up inside today. Love spooky season!
Hi friend. Yep, it's getting to be that time where the creepy decor gets ramped up. Kelly can't stand when my horror friend find their way to the main floor. 😂😂😂 I'm working on my office area and I'm thinking of hanging some Freddy Krueger string lights in there today. I love the Wednesday figure and Uncle Fester is hiding next to her; you'll see him in the tour. I'm happy you found some movies to check out. I'm always happy when I hear movie friends are still able to find things on the lists to check out. Thanks so much for watching and I hope all is well with you, my friend. 😀👋👋🎃🎃
Hello Stephanie! I always like these kinda videos. I usually find a few movies to check out. I will definitely be picking up Sweeney Todd. I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. Thanks as always.
Hi friend and I'm so happy you have some new videos to investigate. I try to cover a wide range so there's something for everyone. Thanks so much for watching. I really appreciate it. 😀👋👋
I’m not a fan of Clint Eastwood but A Perfect World is one of my long time faves. I rewatched it last year & it’s just so underrated & sadly it’s been forgotten. Grandma was actually very good, very funny & touching & very relevant.
Hi friend. I'm glad you like the recommendations. I'm currently having a "bad hair situation" so I needed to cover it up. 😂😂😂 Thanks so much for checking out the video and I hope you find some movies to enjoy. 👋👋
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp collabs usually resulted in amazing movies...Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...even Corpse Bride (and I also love Dark Shadows, which is not a popular opinion).
Hi friend. I'm so with you on this. I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton and his collaborations with Johnny Depp. It's a hard sell sometimes though and I'm not sure why. I just hope folks will give Sweeney Todd a shot because it's so good. Have you seen, Big Eyes?? Tim Burton but no J. Depp. Really great and based on true events. Thanks so much for checking out the video. 😊👋👋
great video steph, i haven't seen the sweeney todd with johnny depp the musical part put me off, but i have seen the version with Ray Winstone it was really good. The ritual is a great movie it did have a limited release on blu ray here in the UK but i believe it's OOP now. Take care love the hat
A Taxi Driver sounds really good. Grandma has been on my radar for quite some time. I recently added A Perfect World snapper to the collection. Need to give it a watch. Few others I have that I need to do in the player. Thanks for the recommendations Stephanie!
Hi friend. Thank you so much for the very kind words. That's my goal: to have anyone who visits the channel to feel like they're hanging out with friends, relaxing, and talking about movies. Thanks so much for being here, watching, and joining the conversation. 😊
Thanks for the recs. I am most interested in the Korean movie (The Taxi Driver) and the revenge flick, Blue Ruin. Loved the movie Perfect World. Haven't seen that in forever, so I may have to give it a spin.
If you have never watched this B maybe C ranked movie that is pretty good, give it a try. I enjoyed it and I usually do not even watch these: Encounter - A group of friends uncover an otherworldly object in a rural field, which they soon discover holds greater secrets than they could imagine. 2018. Stars: Luke Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Tom Atkins
Hi friend. Ooooo...I haven't seen that one. I just put it on my list to check out. Thanks so much for the recommendation and for checking out the video. Hope all is well. 😀👋👋
Hi friend. I love that one as well. I *might* have done that in a prior episode but if not, I'll bring it out for the next one. Thanks so much for checking out the video and for the great recommendation. 😀👋👋
Hi friend. I agree. Such an underrated gem of a movie that I have rarely heard people talk about. Could be that it's from 2003 so I figured I'd bring it up for anyone who missed it. Thanks so much m for checking out the video. 😀👋👋
Hi friend. Really? Where can I find that? I do have another film called, The Ritual but it's not this one from Netflix. If it's out there, I'd like to buy it in support of the studio that distributed it. I'm not a fan of bootlegs. I've looked all over for this one but haven't been able to find a copy. Thanks so much for watching. 😀
Speaking of must see, I just saw the great independent horror thriller "Strange Darling" in theaters. I can't tell you anything about it, because it will spoil the film. It's best to go in cold.
Hi friend. Funny you mention that one because I just saw someone post a short about it earlier and said they really enjoyed it but without talking about it so no spoilers. It's definitely on my short list. I just watched Longlegs the other night and really enjoyed that one. Another one I checked out was Oddity. I liked it, but I felt like we needed a few more details. If you m watch it, I think you'll get what I mean. Both were very good though. Thanks so much for watching and the info on Strange Darling. I really do appreciate it. 😀👋👋
Hi friend. Yay for that. I loved Secondhand Lions. What a hidden gem of a movie that was I can't wait to watch it again. The cast and the story were spectacular. Thanks so much for checking out the video. 😀👋👋

Hi Sara. I'm trying to keep up myself. My brother hasn't been well so I've been taking time to deal with that. But I'll have another video up later today with a fun list of movies Hope all is well with you and thanks for being here. 🎃💞
I am looking forward into one upcoming movie even though it is an animation one. Sorry if you criticize for thinking about one animation movie, but I am extremely desperate for it.
Hi friend. I love animated movies. What one are you looking forward to?? I would never criticize anyone for any movie they're excited about. I really do appreciate it 😀👋👋
@@MovieChatter01 Oh well all right. It is good to know all of this😉😉👍👍 So an animation movie I can hardly wait for is The Nut Job 3 whether you have seen and heard of the first 2 or not. It is another sequel following The Nut Job (2014) and The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature (2017). Despite the first 2 movies' low ratings, I still like them very much and most likely the third will not be very good either but I will still like it.
