Regarding the CR-V: I bought a 2004 in 2015 with 200k miles for $3k. I drove it for 4 years while in college and working in west Texas. When I got out of school I decided to pass it on to my brother who still drives it today. Currently at 290k miles with no issues. One of the best cars I've ever owned.
Mk2 CRVs are awesome and I unabashedly love them. Just quirky Japanese enough while still remaining super practical. I totaled an auto one in 2021 and almost replaced it with a manual, but got a Fiesta ST instead 🤷🏻♂️
i have a 22 CRV, its awesome
They're fantastic cars. I've got nearly 400k miles on my 08 and it runs perfectly. The starter died at 300k, but that's the only problem I've had with it.

I had a 2004 CR-V, got it up to 400k miles and was still going strong till I had someone pull out in front of me and wrecked it, was an awesome lil car with amazing gas mileage

Oh my god we made a video!! We are JORA IMPORTS based out of Atlanta, GA. We are a small Japanese Dealership that just started a team on the American side and that was one of our first offerings to the market! We were nervous as to how it would be received overall but we are humbled and glad you guys liked it! That was such a great car and I was sad to see it go. Believe it or not the rancho suspension gave the car a lot of stability combined with the 4x4! Now; granted you cant take corners at like 60mph but for the everyday drive its great!!
On the side; our team here in America is also pursuing aviation. We are selling cars to fund that journey haha.

My girlfriend bought my grandmother's CRV that had 22k miles for $8500. Think it's a 2009. AWD, Florida car, grandma was a snow bird and would only drive within a 5 mile radius when used.

That CRV might be worth it just for the engine and transmission. Maybe not $7000 worth it, but only 35k miles. Throw them in a civic, replace the head with a K20a2 and boost TF out of it.
I bought a '95 LS400 for the same price as that Caprice with slightly fewer miles. My LS400 was in better condition with no rust and everything that makes it a Lexus.
