it's usually every 2 year unless it gets prohibited by politicians because of climate reasons. they probably didn't really do any marketing is because the physical limit is pretty much reached even without any marketing. on saturday around 12:00 they sent out recommendations to not start traveling because it was already filled to the brim
@@data-yc2ux Usually Airpower is every 3 years. It's just our incompetent defense minister who reduced it to 2 years. Hopefully a one time event. This was by far the most boring of all Airpower airshows I've visited in more than 20 years.
Watched this yesterday (today is sunday for me) on TV - constant commentary plus music in the background, absolutely awful. This vid on the other hand is awesome. Pure visuals and sound, well done 👍👍👍

Bei der der Airpower zeigen die Piloten was alles möglich ist. In diesem Video klar... aber wenn man weitere anschaut wie Helikopter und andere kleinere Flugzeuge Arbeiten sollte man nachdenken ........

I've tried my best to produce binaural videos at all the airshows I've attended during the last year, but unfortunately my binaural microphone can't handle too loud noises (I was aware of this when I bought it) so all the recordings I took had lots of clipping and distortion. I should have tried to move far away from the actual display line and/or airstrip. I'll look into upgrading for next year ;) The only satisfaction I had was from last weekend' Jesolo Air Show here in Italy. In fact moving as far away as possible, I managed to had a clean binaural recording of the French Dassault Rafale's performance. I'll upload it in a couple of days!
Nope, that's a typical stunt of the Hungarian Gripen's solo display (but also the Swedish and Czech introduced it on their Gripen demos). It's called 'Dump and Burn', similar to the more spectacular one usually performed by the F-111 Aardvark back in the days. Basically is fuel that is expelled from a vent and then ignited by the afterburner (or just heat coming from the exhaust, which maybe explains why it doesn't always ignites). But for the little I've understood that's not a manual/controlled dump done by the pilot, like it was actually happening with the F-111 Aardvark. It's more an automatic safety thing which might have to do with its pressurized tanks and long periods of flight with negative G-values. It's no coincidence that it always happens when the pilot does that wanted 'hesitation' on the top of the loop or after a long negative Schneider turn. So being something the aircraft's systems do as a precaution I imagine sometime it could happen that the pilot is forced to land, like it happened on Saturday, as if the plane went into self-protection and couldn't be flown to its full potential
