When Potential Meets Opportunity: Meet the Hero behind Mozambique’s Life-Saving Oxygen Plant

When COVID-19 hit, there was no cure, but doctors found that oxygen kept patients alive. For over a year now, young Mozambican medical technician, Felisberto Armando, goes to work everyday at the hospital’s new, sophisticated oxygen-making plant provided by USAID when Covid picked.
“I want to thank USAID a lot…we know very well that without oxygen there is no life. The patients needed this precious oxygen very much, because before we received this equipment we suffered a lot.” - says Feliberto
Perhaps it is we who should thank Felisberto, a hero in the struggle to overcome COVID-19 in Mozambique.
