"Do You Read Me?" from 1979 Rock Goes to College gives you an idea of the energy of his performances. Or check his acoustic chops on pretty much any rendition of "Pistol Slapper Blues". Rory was courted by the Rolling Stones, was Melody Maker's 1972 Guitarist of the Year (over Clapton, Page & Beck). He was a phenomenal talent that let us much too early in 1995 at the age of 47. Please take a listen-you won't be sorry!

Cains Ballroom has a wooden floor, and I could feel the energy from the floor vibrating and through the air, vibrating my bones .. No chairs so standing the whole time .. That's an experience you don't get just from videos .. the headphones help alot though

the show was a tribute to the three Kings, and it was cool to see Joe switch to the same kinds of guitars the legends played when he did their songs. In fact the Flying V he used on Angel of Mercy was actually Albert King's famous "Lucy" that was loaned to him just for this show.
Live grainy gritty video of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jeff Beck (another Brit guitar god) on tour together doing "Going Down" smokes this. Stevie is so animated and stoked to be with him. Joe is accomplished and polished. I want my blues with a little more grease.

Reese was actually the original keyboard player for the Allman Brothers while Greg was in college. Of Reese was let go when Greg arrived.

Joe uses 2 drummers if you didn't notice. One of them is Anton Fig, who played with Paul Schaeffers band on the David Letterman show. FYI
