Adam Elmakias This is actually exactly the kind of behind the scenes video I really want to see more of, from both you and photographers in general. A very straightforward look at how you interact with your subjects and get them to act and pose the way you need them to. I've been trying to do more portrait work with the bands that I know and it just makes me feel really good knowing that the way you interact with your subjects is very much how I interact with mine. I know it's to each their own and all, but I like being laid back and I'm glad that the style I've developed naturally is one that seems to mirror someone whose work I highly admire. Keep up the great work man; I was bummed that you hopped off the PTV / SWS tour before it hit Chicago as I'd have loved to see you in the pit, but we'll meet up some other time. Don't know if you'll end up seeing this or not but if you do, let's hang sometime and chat! =)
thank you for taking the time to write this, glad you got what i hoped people would ffrom this video- i think too often people think that photographers do some crazy shit, but really- sometimes ya just gotta chill. Thanks again, next time in chicago!!
Adam Elmakias Thank you for replying man! It's great to hear from you. And yeah I definitely like just chilling much more than doing crazy stuff. I'll keep checking back on your travel dates and see when you're coming around. What's a good way to get in touch with you if I find out that you're coming?
These kids of videos are so insightful to photo majors like myself! When I do my photo shoots for class, I try to be calm and collected the whole time so it doesn't make my model nervous or uptight. I also play music my model likes so it becomes a more familiar experience to them, especially if they're shy around a camera. I've been looking into Profoto products for a while and it's cool to see one of these lights in action. From the looks of how fast you were clicking the shutter, the recycle time is lightning. I also want to try this set up next time I do portraits. I don't think I've ever thought to put an umbrella parallel to the ground (at least that's what it looks like to me, apologies if I'm mistaken). I looooove the long neck shadows! Thank you so much for uploading this, Adam! Your photography is outstanding and I wanna be you some day. :)
These are my favorite photos of PVRIS, they're seriously amazing! I can't wait to see them published and hopefully they're be a couple out takes up in your print store 😏
Would you ever post a video of how you edit your images, such as a screenshot video that'll show how you edit it from the raw image to this in lightroom/photoshop or whatever program you use.
post processing is all personal preference, It's what you like and how you as a photographer want to manipulate your images. But if you want to get a feel for how professionals use the program then I would recommend checking out a you tuber called "fro knows photo"
Logan Reid Media RUclips compression does the images no justice in this video, but I would say that he mainly boosts the contrast and slightly increases the clarity however his post processing should vary for every image.
Hey Adam I'm 16 and I try to go to many concerts and take shots. They come out ok but it's only done with my iPhone and I would like to know if you can give me advice on any great starter cameras that will do the job well. Something under 400. I don't have a lot of money :/ but if you can help it would mean the world to me.
If I was in a band and you where taking pictures of me I would be freaking out hahaha but a los inwouod be serious and then crack a couple random faces in between
"What do I do?" LYNN IS SO CUTE.
Lynn's smile makes me melt 😍

Hey Adam! Just out of curiosity how did you attach your Gopro to your DSLR? Did you use the hotshoe or just a stick on mount on the lens?
Thanks for filming this shoot adam! Will you upload the other photos though? Or is not allowed? Anyways, great job as usual!
