    I really think that if you already have a good customer base/audience, it'd be easier to sell in the future.. For now, I'll be building my audience on different social media first before settin' up my own Etsy shop.. Thanks for this video..

    In your opinion is the best computer to use to run the illustrator software? I need a new computer as mine is outdated. So I have an Etsy store with almost 4000 in sales, I sell iron on transfers. Would it be good to add SVG designs to the store or should I open a whole new store?

      Illustrator has their minimum system requirements so as long as it is within those, you should be fine. I think adding SVG's to your shop would be okay. Just to test the waters but typically I encourage people to stick with one type of product per shop. That's where many see the most growth.

    Wow! This video is so helpful. I just loved the way you explained everything. I have a etsy shop where I post once or twice a week. As I have reached 50 listings, I am receiving at lease 1 or 2 sale daily. Should I post on daily basis?
    I create my svg files on Photoshop or should I use illustrator. Which one is better to make high quality Svgs?
    And DXF files are also in demand how to convert or download Png to DXF?
    I hope you got my queries. Please reply.
    Thank you.

      If you only have access to Photoshop simply keep using it for your SVG files. Illustrator is a better design package but the SVG's from either are the same format. Assuming you are locked in to Adobe's subscription service you will have access to Illustrator so for PNG and DXF files you will find that you can save your AI files a either PNG or DXF. Be aware that DXF files are largely geometric data suitable for 2D CAD work (the colour information will be lost). Illustrator will save in PDF format too but this is largely a view and print format.
      If you are using a PC or Mac, you might like to explore using Inkscape, which is free open source design software similar to Illustrator. It will open AI files, saves SVG's natively and exports to PDF, PNG and DXF. LibreCAD (another free and open source software) will open DXF's. It is 2D CAD software designed for mechanical and architectural drawings, so may not be suitable for your purposes other than seeing what the saved DXF's look like. Both SVG and DXF are mathematical representations of your drawing which makes them scalable without loss of definition (although fill is occasionally a problem for SVG's and doesn't exist in DXF's. Another alternative to Adobe's subscription service is the Affinity range of software (Affinity Designer being the Illustrator equivalent).

      You should check with the shop you are purchasing from. Some will sell additional licenses that allow you to do that and others include the licence in the regular purchase price. I've never come across a shop that will allow you to resale the digital product itself.

      @@KaseyClin so when i buy an svg from etsy i can re sell it as an svg?? I thought i can only sell it as a finished product.

    • @but05003
      @but05003 3 года назад +2

      @@melissaflint8099 No, typically the seller won't allow that in their licensing. Nicole is right, it all depends on what the seller has stated in their licensing. Most SVG sellers on Etsy include commercial licensing in theirs though so that you can resell it in any physical form but many don't allow the resell of it in digital form. That is the case with our Etsy shop selling SVG files.

      hi i know im not the uploader but im pretty sure it's because plenty of people use svg files as shirt prints which are usually just a few different ink colors because every color needs to be either cut out from vinyl individually or pressed on a screen press. Hope that helps :)

    Olaaa! Eu tinha criado uma conta na Etsy, no entanto tive a conta desativada. Você sabe me dizer o motivo? E você possui alguma licença para vender seus produtos sem que eles te banem? Já é a segunda vez que isso acontece.

      I would look into the reasoning Etsy gave you as to why they shut down your shop. They should have stated. It may have to do with plagiarism or because you are listing items that are branded content. I am sorry! I am really not sure.
