    Dope vlog! We need more PLO vlogs for sure. Friendly suggestion- Hit the lab a little bit. Specifically study up on bet sizing. Every hand of this video you only utilize one size…pot!! Hope the runbad is short lived and maybe I’ll see you around in the LA PLO streets 🤙🏼

    • @davids4063
      @davids4063 9 месяцев назад

      Pot bet is more frequently the correct size in 4+way pots, but a different range than headsup! Not as much in HU pots.
      Live games do tend to be 4-8ways to the flop so.... the answer is kinda yes.

    I'm in. I watch all the well-known vlogs, but interested in a new one and you've peaked my interest.
    What microphone are you utilizing for your voice-overs? Are you taking into the mic on your phone or camera, or do you have a headset or lav mic? I ask because the vo's sound a bit hollow, I can hear you fine, but quality is not tops. Probably an upgrade as your vlog takes off.

    7:32
    How is betting a bare 5 a mistake by your opponent? Calls from flush draws and overpairs are errors, yet giving such hands a free card is a potential disaster. Betting a third to half pot seems vastly superior on this board texture, regardless of his actual holding (even TT) If raised, he can fold your weaker fives, but a hand like TT is probably not raising here, so the pot control aspects of the small bet also kick in. In fact, even the turn and river bets should probably be about half pot for similar reasons.
    Had he taken my recommended path, he bet 15 flop, you call. Pot = 70. He bets 30 on turn, you call.
    Pot = 130. He bets 60. You make your move and he folds. Simply by making better sizing decisions, he loses 105 dollars instead of over 300. The key is that he cannot be making bigger bets when he has the goods. Because his range is wide, your best play with all but your strongest hands will be to call.
    I suppose he could check/fold the river, but that is probably only wise if he can be quite sure that your calls on the flop and turn must mean he is beat. In many cases, that is probably true and if you both do happen to have a five with a poor kicker, you are probably checking back the river anyway.
    .

      I think it is a clear fold. I believe the TURN bet could have almost any hand with a T, but his river bet is far more limited. The two calls are very strong here. Even if one call is a lone T, what about the other call? At this point, the turn bettor should assume he is facing one or even two boats that could easily include Tens full.
      For this reason, his river bet is more or less never a bluff. He has Tens full 9 out of 10 times if not 10 out of 10. If this is a known spew monkey, you might have to call, but that is it.
      It is good to note the relative values of under boats in PLO. Calling down with under boats in PLO is generally a money losing play though a lot does depend on the flow of bets and number of callers on previous streets. In this hand, the action (at least to me) screams solid value, especially that river bet. If he managed to bluff a bare T, expecting 88 or 77 to fold then "well played Sir" is about all you can do.
