Hey just found your channel, I might try this since I don't really QT fish... I know I know I really should. This seems reasonable and better than nothing. The fish look awesome! I want to add some purple fire fish to my 80gal soon.
Hey welcome to the channel! Thanks for checking it out, much appreciated! In all honesty I really think it’s a solid go to move if you don’t QT your fish, it’s the least you can do! I’ll be doing it with all my fish moving forward that I purchase! I love the helfrichi, beauties no doubt!
My husband took a lot of convincing just to have a tank to begin with, there's absolutely no way he would tolerate a quarantine tank, unfortunately. So this is my best option. I used it recently on a tomini tang and so far so good 🙂
You got the one tank in so winning already! I feel this is a perfect example though, no ability to be able to run a QT tank so this Safety Stop is a very viable option! Thanks for stopping by!
You can quarantine in a 10 gallon tank or even a bucket. I learned the hard way when a new fish brought in velvet and killed all but 1. 4 weeks in copper power and 2 weeks without for observation. Google humblefish quarantine. You will save lots of lives and sadness
I want to do this as well since I don't have another tank to QT I have a salt water setup and I just got hit with a HORRIBLE case of ICH that whipped out 12 of my 17 fish in my 125g , but I just want to ask what exactly does doing this do that a QT tank doesn't that makes it more " rapid and safe"? if that makes any sense
Omg. Did you just stick your hand in there to stir? 😮 Do you know what the contents of those packets were? I wouldn't recommend doing this without gloves. Please add a disclaimer for newbies that may not know.
I REALLY hope you washed your hands during that process, especially with Part A being Formalin, aka a water-based saturated solution of formaldehyde. Honestly, anyone using this kit should be wearing gloves for added safety.
Hands were washed after every time I put them in any of the active baths, and cleaned all equipment in between as well I should’ve had gloves on though no doubt!
Gorgeous fish!! They are a great addition to this lagoon
They fit in so well, the colors are truly breath taking!
Sold 7 out of 10 fish catching skills.
I’ll take a 7! Not my best outing but we will get better LOL
I think this is a good method, I'd definitely try it myself especially with more expensive fish!
It’s for sure at least a barrier you can add to new incomers coming into your display!
This is interesting!!! ❤
I really enjoyed using it, think it’ll be beneficial for all my new additions moving forward! Thanks for stopping by!
Looks legit! 🤔👊🏻
I was happy with the results!

What can it do to us? If it isn't safe for us, so what for fishes?
@@tomg5405 Exactly!
I have never Qt and never had Ich. Even this just seems to stressfull IMO after all these fish have been through!
