I felt the same way, but for me the fact you can kind of have an eye on your tank from afar with the app is really an up side! I look forward to getting to know my system better too! More videos to come no doubt!
You can just expand your existing Apex to cover your other tank and save some decent bank. You just need a few more appropriate modules and another EB832 or so. You can get 3rd party aquabus cables that are far longer than what Neptune offers as well if you need that to connect them. I have 1 Apex head unit that ran my main tank and a nano tank, plus my utility room equipment, for almost 2 years before I consolidated tanks.
Nice!! I just think they’re a much more prevalent piece of equipment nowadays in the hobby so might as well talk about em! Have to let me know how you like it
I just ordered an apex and this made made me feel better about dropping a lot of money on it. I’m excited to get it set up and working!

I can’t afford to spend 800.00 all at once on a controller with no probes or anything.
@@davestephens9463 when I spent that amount it came with all four of the probes I mentioned in the video!

Good points!! My frag tank is in the garage though and clear across the house! Not sure that will work lol!
But for sure a possibility for the nanos
Nice bro. I just got an Apex Jr to dip my toe into the controller world. Will be setting it up soon.

I've always wanted a controller but I'm not sure if I'm crazy for wanting it for my macroalage display?? 😂
I just run WiFi outlets on my Macroalgae tanks, I like them on my more complex systems though!
How did you get your corals so big? How many years did it take? They are massive!
In the frag tank they just have taken off! It needs work and big trimming too! As for the lagoon I wish they’d grow more!
They look so amazing. I’m so new to all of this it’s overwhelming but I watch videos and try to understand the chemistry of it all.
