Bless you Frans! I am so grateful for all of those like you who freely give of the knowledge that you have accumulated over the years to help others with keeping the hobby going for years to come- Hopefully others appreciate the knowledge that you share like I do... Stay healthy, happy and strong my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Master Frans receives my thanks for sharing his knowledge so clearly. I am a 76-year old amateur who also started me with A.australe.Receive my respectful regards
He is a wonderful very dedicated man, a self-taught scientist who will live on because he is doing much needed work for the world of wildlife conservation!
This man is very inspirational even if he doesn't know it. Thank you for all of these videos and keep on going. I'd love to see more. I only feel it is right in return to share these video's with as many fellow true hobbyist that I can. Thanks again.
Excellent video. Very informative. Kept done local killifish from Georgetown (Guyana) and they were tremendous fun, barring the times they jumped out of the jars!
At 11:04, when asked his favorite species, it sounds like he said "Livurus", but I'm guessing it was "Rivulus". I think the picture was a species of Rivulus. Is that correct?
It was just weird how the questions were recorded separately but were recited like they were said in conversation. IMO it would have been much better to use a text overlay.
+yudontsay Very bad idea to mix fishes with so different behaviors and having very different ecological needs. The Australe won't survive first, the cardinalis will follow next in the death. The 2 fishes needs soft and acid water, with humic acid, and low light with a temperature of 24° C max. Australe prefer small tanks with no current, a male with 3 females and lots of hiding places. No other fish. They reproduce naturally pretty well in good conditions Cardinalis prefer medium sized tanks, living in large groups and not stressed if you want beautiful colorfull fishes, for cleaning the cardinalis and small tetras tank corydoras are better and not aggressive. Far more interesting to have an specialized regional tanks. Ancistrus and gouramis have very different needs from the 2 first.
sir is it possible to order some killiefish eggs to you? this is marlon delos santos and i lived herein hong kong.. i alsowouldlovedto bring it inmy hime land philippines.

You made this old man living in pain laugh by saying how you found your killifish fish.
Bless you friend!
Why do you use 2 different cameras one for the interviewer one for the killifish guy and different lighting and audio?
It was just weird how the questions were recorded separately but were recited like they were said in conversation. IMO it would have been much better to use a text overlay.
