I like the contrast of the two styles and personalities. On one side you have the minimalist Reeps with just a mouth and a microphone, and beside him is a collection of tightly picked and honed machines masterfully tamed by DubFX.
These two really know how to collaborate, and the whitewash background emphasised just how simple their setups can be: no tricks, no hidden effects, just a few buttons and a pair of men who swallowed all the world's instruments.

you know dub fx uses a multi effect's processor right? he's a amazing vocalist and artist, but a pretty mediocre beatboxer.
+Konrad Klys That's true that he uses effects, but I meant nothing really hidden - you see his tools out in the open. Almost everyone uses an RC505 these days but he can do so much more with his that I can :p still very impressive.

So actually, yes there are formulas for song structure that appeal to all human brains on some level. The lyrics, vocals, rhythms of instruments may be subjective, but there are computer programs that can engineer synthesized sounds patterns that are addictive to the human brain, and they are used by the big studios that make music for MTV etc.
