- Today we take a look at the worst furry of all time and Palworld plagiarism (Allegedly :D)! We dive into the drama and controversy surrounding the game's comparison to Pokemon and if they copied designs and art. But there is also a character that is such crazy furry bait by the name Lovander. Either way there is so many memes about this game I had to talk about it lol.

Palworld isnt pokemon with guns. Its Ark With Pokemon. Pokemon doesnt have a base building mechanic.
Yeah, it lifts its monster design philosophy and some other things from Pokémon, but definitely not the gameplay.

It’s the only fursona I have seen that I love just because of the colours, nothing else has done that for me.
I dunno, a decent chunk of the comparisons seem like a huge stretch. Besides some basic shaping similarities, they seem pretty different.
It's a good 50/50 on some designs being a lil Frankensteined but then there's others like jet dragon which are pretty neat on thier own

The devs know what they are doing, literally everything in the entire game, to roasting WOKE and the LGBT community (but they stated facts) bviously targeting Pokemon and Furries, they know exactly what they are doing.

you should make a vid about cassettebeasts !! its a creature collector too but they have much more creative designs than palworld imo. its unfortunate nobody talks about cassettebeasts as much as palworld
They all look like combonations of two pokemon. Cinderace + leafeon, perzeker+skitty, ect.
Sure Palworld was inspired by Pokemon. Just as much as Pokemon was "inspired" by Dragon Quest.
For real once I took a look at the designs in Palworld I was like "Wow! Finally some new Pokemon that actually look like Pokemon"

So I’m regards to problems I’m seeing you have with general body shape and proportions I don’t think a company can have a copyright on a body shape, the Giratina face plate was inspired by Samurai helmet designs (or looks like it)
Pokémon for the face that we are comparing Shaymen in its SUPER common to have that kinda face on a lot of their smaller creatures because of laziness in design(s)
I think they're more like, a different interpretation of the different designs, which is why Pokémon didn't kill off Palworld when it was first showcased years ago.. I mean if you look at Dragon Quest, Pokémon's designs are a cuter take on them overall.
I can see the comparisons, but something you learn even stepping a little into the art world is that no art is truly "original". Everything takes inspiration from somewhere, even subconsciously, sometimes that inspiration is just more blatant. And the inspiration is definitely *very* blatant in this game, but it is still its own designs, nothing is directly copied.
I think that quite a few pals have some similarities to Pokémon, but there are also a ton of cool and unique designs.

Anubis isnt based on Lucario... Hes based on the the inubis god from ancient Egypt mythology

yeah I dont like palworld (not because of how they stole like 2 concepts from pokemon, but because of the hypershrexualization of their own characters and being labeled as for teens) but like i genuinely cannot understand how anyone can ever see a characer called "Anubis" that looks incredibly like an egyption mythology character called "inubis" and think its something else, makes no sense

Edit: forgot to mention... Some family friendly RUclipsrs have played it and saw "Lovander" for example and the description and didn't feel comfortable with it on their channel

The Braixen one kind of looks like a cross between Braixen and Delphox. It has a similar height and size to Braixen, but also has a color scheme and robe-like sleeves similar to Delphox.
Lovander itself seems to be taking heavy theming from Gen 7's (I THINK it's 7, anyways; I'm chronically broke so I haven't actually gotten to play past gen 4) Salazzle, in which said theming is apparently "sexy lady salamander... thing".
I feel that Palworld has a similar art style but it's not a direct one to one copy . I think the art style is what has everyone hung up on. Nintendo did looked into it and came out and said " it's all good".
I know Pokémon is its own idea, I've always loved it, and its been ripped off so many times, but I've always hated when people compare things, especially art and games, its like, you're saying not more than 1 person can have this same idea somewhat but execute it differently, or better. Sometimes even just inspired by a design or something. I can tell some of these are blatant rip offs, but at the same time they could just remove them from the game if necessary.

3:30 there's a pokemon that's just corviknight + extra armor or something like that, and there's a cloud eevee (adorable though) and the one people mention the most but somehow never realize how alike suicune it is, and then there's the sheep, woloo, the penguin, piplup, the big yellow totoro-lookin' thing, electevire

the more i see people compare the designs the more i see the difference or original inspiration for the design. giratinas face thingy? thats a samurai helmet crest, similar to the ones used in the 15th to 16th century. have that be existant in both might be taking inspiration, but its not a unique feature enough on giratina to say its the perfectly obviously copied. and thats case for the most stuff.
the comparison with shaymin is also the same. the eyes are vertical oval shapes. aaaand thats it. triangular noses isnt uncommon enough to be distinct (heck, your sona has a triangular nose) and the simple line for a smile has been done by lego for half a century.
sobbles fin is a feather. or at least thats how i see it. might be a fin. theyre surprisingly similar. theres also only so many designs you can come up with for a head fin without it looking wrong for the job. the high aspect rounded fin fits both characters better than a triangular jagged one.
but yeah, the designs are very similar in many cases. found myself calling the cremis an eevee for example. but its not that many as of now tbh. palworld makes fairly good use of its design elements to keep them different enough

Very late on here and since everything about Palworld has been said, here is something about the mytholgical creatures.
Pegsus is the winged horse of anciant greece and its said only heros and poets are able to ride it.
Gryphon is the beast that has an eagle mixed with a lion and has multiple subspecies like the Hippogryph wich is eagle and horse mixed.

Even though there's alot of ''copying'', Palworld gave us the pokemon game that we wanted, that pokemon couldn't even give us because they don't even try anymore :(

first,in my opinion,this has to be one of the whorst videos about the theme of palworld,first,isnpiration and plagarism exist,second,you cand argue the pose of 3d models without looking at the animations themselfs,third,you need context,most of theese pals existed for a versy long time and were showed during development in the palworld channel,and if you look at inspiration,like the real world leggends and stuff they used as reference creating the pals you can argue,that maybe,pokemon designs didint had that much to do with the game itself
edit:i dont see the point of talking about the eyes,ofc they will be similar,they are cute cartoon monsters,even kirby has those

I mean, they could make another art style. But they literally stole Primarina's hairstyle without ANY changes. There are a few blatanly copied things and because of that every other small similar thing adds up to at the overall picture it's just a shitty rip off of pokemon fusions. You think that there is only "over 200" Pokemon? We went over 200 Pokemon in Gen 2. Also, this is kind of a bad point since Games likes Digimon and Yokai Watch made monsters that don't look really similar to Pokemon at all.
palworld is the result of Game Freak going too safe....
low-level animations, lazy story, and some are just lazy Pokemons....I'm glad that Palworld is a thing cause that will teach them one thing.

Seeing the game trailer, it got me hyped now finally got the game. Seeing all the monsters it’s built is a copy pasted from the original Pokémon but the monsters are unique a little wonder if they will add more pal monster I am look forward to see or maybe they could add fake pal master design in the game
What it looks like they're doing, is combining aspects from different Pokémon into one character and that's how they're getting away with it. At least, that's what it looks like to me.
My thoughts: every design is different to make them different creatures. Example, lucario and anubis. They look nothing alike and one is based on a God. The simularities are just the shapes.
Dude your kinda ignorant of a ton of the cultural influences pokemon designs are known for. They used Pokémon's homework and made designs that are very close, but have enough real world inspiration that Nintendo can't do anything- it's crazy
even if most other companies couldn't do something Nintendo doesn't follow law, it follows what it wants and hires good enough lawyers to trick courts into thinking its law. Either way they definately did steal some designs though and you gotta admit it
nintendo will never add guns for you to use against pokemon to any of their games

Pokemon has so many designs now its hard to make new characters without unintentionally copying some elements. You're bound to have some look alikes at that point.
Personally I think a tone of then actually look like two pokemon designs fused.

i think the main problem is how overshrexualized some of them are, as you mentioned loveander. Im not strictly against that type of stuff but putting it in a game made for 13+ year olds is pretty weird

Palworld really ticks me off, but you can tell they didn’t just copy off of Pokémon because that big Electric type on the cover definitely looks like Totoro, and that one wolf not only looks like Lycanrock but also fused with Twilight Princess’s Link wolf form. Maybe that’s a stretch but just the face shape and the colors, and overall this sucks because the ones that do look somewhat original look really cool, so they *can* create their own designs but they felt the need to copy and it’s so annoying

"the worse furry of all time" ya what? also its been proven that the allegations are fault and fabricated by pokemon fans and people who sent death threats to the dev. also the legendary pals are better then any of the new legedaries. also toothy grins are not pokemon exclusive and cremis (the gigantimax evee so called ripoff) pulls its fluff around its head when it sleeps and is unique and creative, also the wolf one has no rocks and triangular ear shapes...are..normal in animal ears. alot of these are reaching, alot of the designs are inspired. the legendaries are very unique.

@@eugenekrabs141 yes but it ends at the legendaries and several they are heavily inspired by pokemon but there are many that are ignored that are very unique and original. also many of the "similaritys are because well animals and mythical creatures are not something pokemon invented.
