Decent progress after Bellanduru, but no progress near railway overbridge near Marathahalli (maybe due to pending work on Hosur railway doubling works)
@sunil, do you have any idea why in some places they are not using U girder and placing beams or something and at those places the pillar cap also looks different, can you explain it if u know?
U Girders are used when the piers align in a centreline . Where the pier placement is off centre to the left or right then, pier caps are also eccentric. When eccentricity is beyond limit , even this pier cap cannot be used and hence they opt for portal pier with beam and i-girders are placed above to form viaduct.
after agara station why are the portals so asymmetrical? one side is way longer than the other. also bro what time are you doing this drive how is orr so empty
@AbhinavPathak17 the roads are curvy and hence not in straight line. To keep metro viaduct straight they will have to place the piers on road. To avoid that eccentric piers are used where the piers remain on road median and caps only shift right or left off Centre and helps maintain straight line. Mostly always finish my records between 7 to 8.30 in the mornings to avoid rush or sun glare
Afcons will delay the blue line by at least a couple of years. IPO money not helping to speed up. Even the option of opening the silk board to kr puram stretch first seems like a pipe dream. Do we know why afcons are stuck from iblur to silk board?
@@karthikvenkatachalam1878 what is IPO money got to do with this project .. working capital is all tied and they get reimbursed monthly for work completed as and when they raise invoices by Metro. Actually A lot of depends on the time of the day. Mornings when i generally shoot, SB to KRP is not possible since Sun will be directly in front. and between Hebbal to Airport shooting from the other side wont help. hence have to split up

Both piers have been cast. and preparation work for cribs which will hold the big girders in place in progress. So fine
